Design Perspectives: Monorail and Seattle Center: date with destiny?

    When voters bought the monorail idea, we knew that bringing a train past the historic walls and new open spaces of downtown Seattle would be difficult -- if not disastrous.

    But as the proposed route headed for Seattle Center, it seemed like a meeting of old friends.
