It’s the edge of our biggest open space -- a water playground and spectacular view. It’s the cradle of our economy, the gateway to the islands and other coastal cities, a sponge for tourist dollars. It’s an important link in a vital and delicate shoreline ecosystem that we have scarcely begun to restore.
Our waterfront, according to Mayor Greg Nichols, is our "front yard."
