The park & ride must evolve.
Like a law of nature, it seems that each terminus of mass transit in the United States meets a sea of parking. Sometimes, there is a very long wait before plans to extend the line or redevelop the station area take shape. Plentiful parking (and lack of nearby housing) tends to keep commuters hooked on their cars, and under-using the land tends to blight the neighborhood.
