Design Perspectives: Seattle's traffic congestion going nowhere fast

It's bad out there — really bad.

As of this summer, Seattle ranks fourth nationally for traffic congestion in a study by TomTom, the Dutch GPS maker. The study measured delays and only Los Angeles, San Francisco and Honolulu are worse. East Coast cities like New York and Boston are less congested.
