Project of the Month: Puyallup city hall sets a new, green example

The five-story city hall leaves generous open space on the surrounding blocks. The project holds the urban street edge with storefronts along the sidewalk.
Puyallup was incorporated the same year Washington became a state, so it's not a new city. It's the historic center of an important agricultural area, now all but lost in a sea of sprawl south of Seattle.
