Timing is everything. That old phrase may be somewhat of an exaggeration, but it's still pretty darn close. Timing is especially critical when it comes to marketing and sales, because it's an incredible way to differentiate yourself. I can recall numerous times when I've won projects that started from a phone conversation like this:
"Hi Bob, I was just calling to see how your plans for the new resort were coming along."
