Library's new heaters hit the spot

  • The Seattle Central Library is using the heaters to warm its workers at the checkout desks.

    The heaters at the library have lenses that focus infrared heat, allowing them to be mounted 10 feet above the workers.

    THE SEATTLE PUBLIC Library had a problem. People working at checkout desks at the Fourth Avenue entrance were getting cold but the entire space didn't need to be warmed. A solution was found in spot heating.
