The Lynnwood Link is a new 8.5-mile-long extension of Sound Transit’s Link light rail system.
The line extends light-rail service from Northgate to Lynnwood and serves four new stations: Shoreline South/148th, Shoreline North/185th, Mountlake Terrace and Lynnwood City Center.
Riders can take the 1 Line from south Snohomish County to downtown Seattle and on to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, then back again.
Each of the Lynnwood Link stations, except Mountlake Terrace, is served by a new parking garage. Mountlake Terrace already has a transit center and parking for up to 890 vehicles.
Stations also feature diverse artwork, including a piece called City Hummingbird by artist Claudia Fitch at Lynnwood City Center Station.
The extension cost approximately $3 billion.
