The FAO Schwarz bear has gone to a Bainbridge Island day care, and the windows of the bankrupt toy seller's downtown Seattle store have been papered over. All that's left is speculation about who might take over the prominent Sixth and Pine location.
"It's one of the hottest corners in Seattle," says Krista Haverly, a retail broker at CB Richard Ellis. Next door is Furla, the swanky Italian fashion store. Across the street is upscale clothier Kenneth Cole. And Nike Town is Nike Town.
