SEATTLE -- The Experience Music Project kicks off an exhibit today that explores the wacky, wild and sometimes just plain weird genre of record album cover art. The collection, on loan from New York's Exit Art Gallery, includes more than 1,500 LP covers from all genres and generations of music, chosen purely for their graphic design.
This is the traveling exhibit's first stop outside of New York. "The LP Show" will be housed in EMP's special exhibits gallery from Feb. 1 to April 14.
The EMP is at Fifth Avenue North and Broad Street. Admission in $19.95; discounted rates are available for youth 17 and under, seniors and military.
