Jerri Lane is the new director of sales and marketing for the Seattle Sheraton Hotel and Towers. She previously served as the director of sales and marketing at the Westin hotel in Seattle.

Association of Sewer and Water Districts

The Washington Association of Sewer and Water Districts has chosen Matthew S. Warner to be director and secretary of its board. The association also elected Marcus Hoffman and Art Wadekamper to serve as board members. Warner is the current commissioner of the East Wenatchee Water District; Hoffman is the current commissioner of the Silverdale Water District No. 16 and serves as a freeholder for Kitsap County District No. 3; Wadekamper is the current commissioner of the Ronald Wastewater Management District. The association also named John Thompson, commissioner of the King County Water District No. 125 was named Commissioner of the Year for 2001.

Steven Storey has been named a private banking relationship manager with Wells Fargo Private Client Services. Storey was a senior vice president and sales manager for Bank of America Premier Banking and a manager of Bank of America’s Private Bank. Storey will have his office in Wells Fargo’s location at 999 Third Ave.

Boeing Capital

Russ Young has been appointed director of communications for Boeing Capital Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Boeing Co. Young has been with Boeing for the past 15 years, most recently leading communications on the Sonic Cruiser program. Young will be based in Boeing Capital's Renton headquarters. Boeing Capital provides lease and loan financing for commercial aircraft, commercial equipment, corporate aircraft, and space and defense products.

Universal Ice Blast

Universal Ice Blast appointed Mark Maier P.E. senior engineering manager. Maier will be responsible for engineering functions as well as the ongoing program to expand, establish and protect the Kirkland company's current technology with future patents.

Talisma

Talisma Corp. announced Paul Maritz has joined the company as an investor and a member of Talisma's board of directors. Maritz is a retired Microsoft executive, with 14 years at the company, most recently as group vice president for the company's Platforms Strategy and Developer Group.

Kirkland-based Talisma provides customer relationship management solutions for service, sales and marketing to mid-market and Global 2000 companies.

Mayes Testing Engineers

Mayes Testing Engineers recently hired Carlette Carumbana as marketing coordinator. Carumbana is a graduate of Seattle University with over five years of marketing and public relations experience. She previously worked for Honolulu City & County Employees Federal Credit Union. Mayes has offices in Everett, Tacoma and Portland.

Trenchless Resources

John Jurgens of Bothell's Trenchless Resources International has been named chair of the Pipeline Rehabilitation Committee for the North American Society for Trenchless Technology. The association is a multiple-disciplinary society of individuals and organizations with professional, utilitarian or environmental interests in trenchless technology. Jurgens will be working with issues concerning buried pipelines rehabilitation methods, processes and repairs.

Aecon Buildings

Frederick Mark has been hired by Aecon Buildings of Lynnwood as a senior estimator. Mark began his career at Raymond International of Houston and moved on to Sletten Construction out of Great Falls, Mont. He spent the last 12 years operating his own firm, Structures West Construction in Spokane. Aecon Buildings, formerly BFC Frontier, is the U.S. division of Aecon Group.

Otto Rosenau & Associates

Otto Rosenau & Associates, a geotechnical engineering, special inspection and materials testing company in Seattle, has promoted David Lyal to training supervisor. Lyal has over 15 years of experience in the construction inspection industry.

City of Port Angeles

The city of Port Angeles has been awarded the American Public Works Association Project of the Year (2000) for the first phase of its downtown watermain and sidewalk reconstruction project. The project won in its category for both Washington and the nation. The city's project team included Strider Construction of Bellingham, along with URS Consultants, Northwestern Territories, Lindberg Architects and Primo Construction.
