PRR has promoted 12 employees in five different groups. In the design and interactive group, Alex Sobie is now lead designer. In the integrated marketing group, Bryan Cohen is group account director; Keri Shoemaker and Katherine Diers are account managers; and Dale Hammond is senior marketing coordinator. Paul Bergman is senior associate II in the public affairs and policy group and Joel Andren is research associate in the research group. In the public involvement group, Michael Read is senior associate III; Rebecca Walls is senior associate II; Meg O'Leary and Laura Block are in the position of associate I; and Maureen Dunn is senior project coordinator.
Allison Steincipher Wallin is a new partner in the Seattle office of Lane Powell Spears Lubersky. Wallin's practice concentrates on complex commercial, health care and class action litigation. Wallin is also co-chair of the ethics and practice committee and the Website and communications committee of the Federal Bar Association.
Andrew Guy and Glen Johnson have joined the Seattle office of Stoel Rivers as of counsel. Guy joins the firm's real estate practice group and was previously general counsel for Oceantrawl. Johnson will serve the firm's intellectual property practice and was formerly lead ip counsel at Nortrel Networks in Richardson, Tx.
Hamilton/Saunderson's recent list of new client's include Redmond CPA firm Falco SULT, Corporate Strategies and Development, the Celebrate Redmond foundation and BoatWorld Marina. Hamilton/Saunderson is a full service public relations, advertising, marketing, and special events firm located at the base of Queen Anne. The firm is headed by principals Michael Hamilton and Ken Saunderson.
Nichols Brothers Boat Builders of Freeland has been selected to build a 360-foot stern-wheeler for Seattle's American West Steamboat. The new stern-wheeler will be called the Empress of the North and accommodate 236 overnight guests and 84 crew members. It will be utilized for seasonal cruises in Southeast Alaska and on the Columbia and Snake Rivers. Guido Perla & Associates of Seattle will design the vessel. The design will be based on American West's Queen of the West stern-wheeler which was built by Nichols Bros. and placed in service in 1995. The new project is expected to cost $50 million and be completed by May 2003.
Rowan Hamilton has joined the faculty at Bastyr University. Hamilton has practiced as a clinical herbalist for the past 15 years, most recently in Canada. He has been published in several journals on the subject of herbs for both consumer and professional concerns and is experienced in both research and product formulation.
Allen Safer was named the appraiser of the year for the Seattle chapter of the Appraisal Institute. Safer's roles with the institute have included Seattle director, regional chairman and national director. He managed an appraisal practice for 20 years and is now with Property Counselors in Seattle. His practice includes valuation, market studies and feasibility studies for industrial, commercial and multifamily projects throughout the Northwest.
Darrin Rose paid the Ceis Family LLC $525,000 for a six-unit apartment building at 3026 64th Ave. S.W. Marcus & Millichap brokers put the deal together, with George Miller representing Ceis Family LLC and Dan Swanson working for Rose.
Mori Ecklund, Lynelle Stauffer, Mike Loughlin, David Foster and Suzy Duke joined John L. Scott Real Estate's Port Orchard residential sales office. Pat Bash-Velasquez and Tana Belger became agents in the firm's Kingston office. Heather Holmen, Jennifer Condon, Kari Bradley, Laurie Marotta, Lisa Phipps, Tony Neal and Andee Richards joined the Silverdale office. Mark Larson, Teresa Dwyer, Charlie Dwyer, Dawn Vahcic-Pride and David Rich signed on in the Poulsbo office.
Dariush Shafagh became a sales agent in the Laurelhurst office, with Sandra Cantrall and Brian Burke starting in Bellevue South. Marvin Ahlstrand and Jeff Howard are now in the Redmond office. Alex Black, Joan Harvey and Martina Jaeger joined the North Seattle office.
Nancy Whitaker joined Response mortgage as a senior loan officer in the Poulsbo branch. Whitaker has 20 years of experience in real estate lending. Before Response, she worked for Washington Mutual. The Kitsap County resident is president of the Silverdale Chamber of Commerce.
