Integrated Healthcare Systems

Integrated Healthcare Systems named Jay C. Grant vice president of sales. Grant, who will be based in Atlanta, is former vice president of health system sales for Group Purchasing Organizations at Cardinal Health's Pharmaceutical Distribution Division. IHS is a Kent-based provider of automated equipment and software for pharmacies that package, barcode, store and track drug inventories.

WorkSource Pierce Business Connection

Small Business Administration

The U.S. Small Business Administration's Seattle office led other SBA offices in the region in number of loans made by participating banks and in small business clients serviced. The agency works with various resource partners to provide counseling and training assistance.

Comcast Advertising Sales

Comcast Advertising Sales of Spokane and Seattle changed its name to Comcast Spotlight. The change is a result of a re-branding initiative for the advertising sales division of Comcast Cable. Comcast Cable is based in Philadelphia.

MessageGate

MessageGate named Bill Bunker vice president of marketing and product management and Yash Talreja vice president of engineering. Previously, Bunker was vice president of financial services for Onyx and Talreja was a senior manager at Amazon.com. MessageGate is a Bellevue-based provider of enterprise messaging management software and services.

Stoel Rives

Stoel Rives, a Portland-based law firm, promoted four new principals in the Seattle office. They are David Benson, a member of the Corporate Practice Group; Andrew Guy, a member of both the Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Group and the Trial Practice Group; Kenneth Odza, a member of the Litigation Practice Group; and James Shore, who represents and trains employers in various areas of labor and employment law.

Western Washington University

The Higher Education Coordinating Board awarded Western Washington University with a $250,000 match to establish the Ralph Munro Distinguished Professorship in Civic Education. The funds were donated by more than 550 individuals, corporations and foundations over the past four years. The professorship is named to honor Ralph Munro, a 1966 WWU political science graduate who later served as Washington's secretary of state. The HEC board is a state agency that works on expanding higher education support in Washington.

Avista

David A. Brukardt, vice president and treasurer of Avista Corp., will leave the company after helping to assure a smooth transition. Malyn K. Malquist, senior vice president, will assume responsibility for the treasury function in addition to his role as chief financial officer. Avista is a Spokane-based energy company.

Rodda Paint

Rodda Paint Co. in Issaquah will move to 1680 Mall St. on Feb. 23. The Portland-based paint manufacturer provides paint, wallpaper and window coverings for commercial and retail customers.

Amnis Corp.

Amnis Corp., a Seattle-based biotechnology company, named Jack T. Ball, Jr. chief executive officer. Ball, former chief commercial officer of Molecular Probes, succeeds Harold Kawaguchi, who created the company in 2000.
