Stott

Peter W. Stott has been named vice chairman of the board and a principal of SkanlanKemperBard, a Portland-based real estate merchant banking and development advisory company. He was president and CEO of Crown Pacific and is chairman emeritus of Market Transport Ltd., which he founded in 1969. He is president of Columbia Investments Ltd., a real estate holding company, and is on the boards of Liberty Northwest Insurance and CNF Inc. His involvement in real estate began 21 years ago and includes serving as the principal investor in Gerding/Edlen's redevelopment of Portland's Brewery Blocks. Stott, the 1999 Oregon Entrepreneur of the Year, was one of SKB's original financial backers and has been among one of its largest investors since it was founded in 1993. SKB Chairman, CEO and President Robert D. Scanlan says Stott's contributions will be important as SKB makes acquisitions and investments in the West and increases investor bases across the country.

Quadrant Homes

Peng

Tien Peng has been promoted to Quadrant Homes' director of design. Peng, previously design manager, has been with Quadrant for eight years. Peng will direct Quadrant's concepts and products, assess potential new markets and plan for jurisdictional requirements.

BetterBricks

BetterBricks is bringing its sustainability competition to Seattle for the first time. BetterBricks is an initiative of the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance, a non-profit supported by electric utilities. The awards, which have been presented in Portland for two years, recognize developers and others for their design of commercial buildings. Street of Dreams

The Seattle Street of Dreams runs through Aug. 14 at Nolan Woods in Woodinville. The 18th show features seven homes ranging in price from $2 million to $3 million. It's open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. Cost is $17.50 for adults and $14.50 for seniors and children 3 to 15. Shuttle service is provided from the show's parking lot at Woodinville High School, 136th Ave. N.E. Between 80,000 and 100,000 people attend the Seattle Street of Dreams, making it the nation's largest one-site luxury home and garden tour in the country, according to organizers.

Urban Land Institute

Gene Duvernoy of the Cascade Land Conservancy, Aaron Ostrom of FutureWise and Michael McGinn of the Sierra Club will speak at the Urban Land Institute's Urban Vitality Committee meeting at 8 a.m. July 27. The free meeting is on the fifth floor of 900 Fourth (formerly the Union Bank of California Center). The topic is the urban side of the rural land preservation/smart growth equation. Banner Bank

Banner Bank named Joseph Vasen vice president and commercial loan officer for its downtown Seattle market. Vasen was a commercial banker at Washington Mutual's commercial banking division and Peoples Bank. He also spent six years in the U.S. Army and has a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Washington. Banner Corp. is the parent of Walla Walla-headquartered Banner Bank.

Ambassadors Group

The Spokane-based educational travel company Ambassadors Group appointed Chadwick J. Byrd chief financial officer. Byrd has 10 years of experience as a senior financial executive, including work with Fred Olsen Energy ASA in Oslo, Norway. He replaces Colleen McCann-Lillie, who resigned but will remain with the company as chief financial officer of the company's subsidiary, Ambassador Programs.

Wells Fargo

Wells Fargo named Joyce Javonillo manager of its Rainier Avenue store. She leads a 10-member team at 3100 Rainier Ave. Sue Lee manages a store in Safeway in Capitol Hill, at 1410 E. John St. Jay Schwandt manages a Crown Hill store located at 8340 15th Ave. N.W
