Gov. Christine Gregoire appointed Laura Jennings to the Board of Regents of Washington State University. Jennings consults for Seattle-area startup companies. She was also a vice president at Microsoft, where she worked on worldwide strategic planning.
Bellevue consulting firm Clark Nuber added the following to its tax staff: Michele Craythorn, Aaron Dawson, Michael Jurenka and Elizabeth Nesmith. Andrea Kiehle will do administrative work and Carrie Sibold will work on auditing.
Lynn Hagerman of Mercer Island was named executive director for the Puget Sound affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Hagerman succeeds founder CJ Taylor, who retired last year. Hagerman was principal of her own firm that did planning for health care organizations and also worked on business development at Evergreen Healthcare.
Cairncross & Hempelmann added Alice Le Truong as an associate lawyer. Truong, who was at Davis Wright Tremaine, will work in Cairncross' real estate group and advise property owners, developers and businesses. Cairncross & Hempelmann is a Seattle law firm.

Civil engineering firm Hammond Collier Wade Livingstone added Engineer in Training Camp Fuller to its water resources team. Fuller, a registered professional land surveyor in Washington, will do surveys to help create civil engineering drawings. Hammond Collier has offices in Seattle, Wenatchee, Lakewood, Omak and Winthrop.
Seattle-based Allrecipes.com, an online recipe site, has added Jerry Gulley to its executive leadership team in the new position of editor-in-chief. Gulley was formerly managing editor of Health Magazine. He will focus on innovations in the site's content and features, and creating a cohesive voice for the company.
