The Berger Partnership, a Seattle landscape architecture firm, added Anita Madtes, Ann DeOtte, Stacy Rowland, Greta Stearns and Dave Knight to the firm. Knight is involved in the Luther Burbank Park master plan. Stearns is working on the Bravern project in Bellevue, Winslow streetscape design on Bainbridge Island and the North Kitsap Heritage Park in Bremerton. Madtes has five years of experience in large-scale public projects and private residences. DeOtte joined as a marketing assistant and Rowland is the new accounts manager.

Urban planner Dan Bertolet joined GGLO with research and development experience in electrical engineering and urban planning. He has been working on the Lovejoy and Bargreen mixed-use projects. Susan Frith joined as project architect. She has five years of architecture experience and is working on Juanita Village in Kirkland. Ginger Schilperoort is the new marketing coordinator, with three years of experience working in the architecture and engineering industry. The new CAD manager, Ramon Morales, has 12 years of CAD/IT management experience and architectural skills. Project architect Jeff Pelletier has five years of architectural experience, and is currently working on the 170 King Street project in San Francisco. Kelley LeBlanc has joined as project architect. She is working on mixed-use projects in Ballard and Greenlake. Interior designer Dominic Hainje has eight years of experience and is working on the Avalon on the Square and Seattle University housing projects. Brian Bishop joined as a landscape designer. He is working on Burien Town Square and the Lovejoy project in Portland.

ALSC Architects of Spokane announced several staff additions. Eric Owens, a 2004 graduate of Washington State University, is working on the North Spokane YMCA and the Eastern Washington University Student Recreation Center. Troy Bishop, a recent graduate of WSU, is working on the Valley School District K-8 School addition and remodel, and several projects for Coldwater Creek.

Emick Howard & Seibert announced promotions and management changes of its key staff. Jack Emick will be president and CEO. He replaces CEO and co-founder Mindy Howard, who will step down from day-to-day management at the end of this month. She will provide counsel and be involved with special projects. Paul Seibert becomes vice president of financial services and will continue to head the financial side of the business. Brett Conway will be chief operating officer. Jim Haack is vice president of design, responsible for the design content of projects and creating a design department that will continue to attract top-tier designers.

Art Anderson Associates

Art Anderson Associates has added senior mechanical engineer Douglas Koenen. He worked at the company from 1990 to 1997 and has experience in construction and project management services. Koenen will work on mechanical portions of the Kitsap County Courthouse renovation and the Port of Bremerton Marina expansion, as well as contracts for local Naval facilities.

CollinsWoerman

CollinsWoerman named a new principal, two directors, three practice leaders and 10 associates. Brian Berg has been named as a principal to the senior management team. He will help lead health care initiatives. The new directors are Elizabeth Morgan and David O'Brien. Morgan will continue as head of business development and as director, and expand her role in management. O'Brien will be director of operations, helping implement strategic goals. As three new practice leaders, Marguerite Jamieson, John Swolgaard, and Joe Workman will be responsible for helping set the direction of the management team. The new associates are Tim Bissmeyer, John Espe, Grant Faust, David Holmes, Larry Leland, Pat Logan, Bill Okazaki, Bev Tiedje, James Walker and John Whitlow.

Potlatch

Spokane-based Potlatch Corp.'s board of directors announced Michael J. Covey, currently executive vice president at Plum Creek Timber Co., will become president and chief executive officer of Potlatch, effective Feb. 6, 2006. L. Pendleton Siegel, 63, chairman and chief executive officer since 1999, will continue as chairman of the board of directors through the end of 2006. Covey, 48, has been with Plum Creek for 23 years. Potlatch is a diversified forest products company with 1.5 million acres of timberlands in four states.

SonoSite

Bothell-based SonoSite, maker of hand-carried ultrasound equipment, has established a liaison office in New Delhi, India, and named Pavan Behl as country manager with overall responsibility for India operations. Behl has worked with Becton Dickinson, SpaceLabs Medical and Guava Technologies.

Stonepath Group

Stonepath Group, a Seattle-based global logistics services organization, announced its president, Bob Arovas, has also assumed the position of chief financial officer. Tom Scully, who held the title previously, resigned in connection with the company moving its headquarters from Philadelphia to Seattle earlier this year. The firm's clients include retailers, automotive and technology concerns, government agencies and defense contractors.
