The Associated Builders and Contractors of Western Washington hired
Kim Trautman as member services coordinator and
Christina Chung as office coordinator. Trautman is supporting the vice president of membership, managing the member discount program and directory, and supporting membership council activities. She previously was a broker relations manager with the American Brokers Conduit. She holds a bachelor's degree from Seattle Pacific University. Chung's duties include administrative and accounting support and facilities supervision. She has six years of office management experience. She holds a certificate from Satori Computer Training School in Renton.
Regional general contractor Lease Crutcher Lewis added five employees:
Bill Kortum as a superintendent in the Commercial Division,
Debbi Hyde as a scheduler,
Kaley Evans as an accounts payable accounting assistant, and
Rob Brotherton and
Mike Sager as project engineers. Kortum has 35 years of local construction experience, serving as superintendent on Benaroya and McCaw halls. Hyde has been a construction scheduler for 13 years. Evans has worked in accounts payable for five years and attends Everett Community College. Brotherton been in construction since 2002 and holds a bachelor's degree from Washington State University. He also holds a certificate in construction management from the University of Washington. Sager has two years of experience as an environmental project manager. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics and environmental studies from Western Washington University.
Dano Jukanovich was named president and CEO of Lifestyle Homes & Construction in Marysville, a property development and construction company. Jukanovich has been the firm's chief operating officer for the past three years. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from West Point and an MBA in finance from the Wharton School. He took over from his brother,
Marko, who became director of business development. Plans for the company include branching out into remodeling, custom and commercial construction, and diversified land development.
Puyallup home builder SoundBuilt Homes hired
Jonathan Koshar as chief operating officer. Koshar, a former AT&T executive, will oversee SoundBuilt's customer service, sales, marketing, finance, human resources and rental departments. He will also oversee the design center.
Tecta America's Seattle/Puget Sound area office, opened in 2003 as a branch of Tecta America's San Francisco-based Western Roofing Service, has been spun off and is now called WRS Seattle. The office is located in Redmond and is headed up by Steve Grinaker. It offers roofing, waterproofing and maintenance services for commercial and industrial customers, as well as several green roofing options through Tecta Environmental Solutions. Tecta America is headquartered in Skokie, Ill.
The Master Builders Association of Pierce County last week handed out its 2007 awards of excellence. The winners included: Tom O'Connor of O'Connor and Associates, Builder of the Year; Rick Hjelm of Phase II General Contractors, Remodeler of the Year; Gray Lumber, Company of the Year; Dan Garber of United Wholesale Supply, Associate of the Year; Steve Garitone of Banner Bank, John Slott Recruiter of the Year; Dennis Hanberg of Apex Engineering, The Robert Camp Award; and Dave Hendrickson of Hendrickson Construction, Hall of Fame inductee.
GMI, a provider of global market intelligence solutions, hired David Parker as chief financial officer. Parker has 10 years of financial expertise and was vice president at Seattle-based Getty Images. GMI is headquartered in Seattle.
MediQuest Therapeutics of Bothell, a pharmaceutical company focused on inflammatory and infectious diseases, hired Jan Öhrström as executive VP and chief clinical officer. Öhrström worked at ZymoGenetics for seven years and has also worked for Novo Nordisk Healthcare.
Bellevue-based HipCricket, a mobile marketing company, hired Steven Siegel as vice president of brand solutions. Siegel worked with Enpocket and has developed mobile marketing programs for customers including Dunkin Donuts, The History Channel and Verizon Wireless.
