Seattle-based law firm Graham & Dunn hired Rebecca R.A. Anderson as an associate. Anderson will work on the Emerging Companies and Entrepreneurs Team.
Nyhus Communications, a Seattle-based public relations and public affairs firm, hired four new team members. They are Sally Poliak as chief operating officer, Gary Fuller as director of accounting and finance, Nate Cole-Daum as account executive and Leslie Boelter as account coordinator.
Multi Axis Games of Port Angeles hired Tim Reddington as chief executive officer. Reddington has 23 years of experience in finance and administration and has helped launch several start-up organizations.

Puget Sound Energy hired Andy Wappler as senior public relations manager. Wappler was chief meteorologist for Seattle's KIRO-TV. At PSE, he will work to raise public awareness about the need for energy efficiency and renewable energy, and will head up the speakers bureau. Wappler is the son of Harry Wappler, a local television fixture from 1969 to 2002.
Knobbe Martens, an intellectual property law firm based in Irvine, Calif., has opened an office in Seattle at 601 Union St. It will be staffed by four partners. They are Carol Pitzel Cruz, Maria Culic Anderson, Melanie Seelig and Mauricio Uribe. Anderson, Seelig and Uribe worked at Christensen O'Connor Johnson Kindness. Cruz was a partner in the firm's Orange County office.
Seattle-based Zumobi, a mobile widget platform, hired Ken Willner as vice president of market development. Willner worked at AT&T Wireless where he led the “American Idol” marketing campaign. He also founded Fizzylab, a contextual search and advertising space company.
Loren Johnson, designated broker of Reid Property Management in Silverdale, has been elected 2008 chairman of the board of directors of the Northwest Multiple Listing Service. Other new officers are Matt Deasy, vice chairman; Doug Davis, secretary; and Jeff Foster, treasurer. Member-brokers also elected four candidates to fill open positions on the board. Three incumbents, including Davis and Foster plus Dick Beeson, were elected to three-year terms. Valerie (Val) Schindler was also elected to a three-year term. Johnson is a 30-year resident of Kitsap County and a real estate licensee since 1976. He has held various leadership positions with the MLS since 2002, including secretary and treasurer. Deasy is with Windermere Real Estate. Davis is president and designated broker of Hallmark Realty Corp. in Kirkland. Foster is broker-manager of Advantage GMAC Real Estate in Moses Lake.
Stellar Holdings, a private international real estate investment and development firm based in Seattle, promoted Joshua Curtis to real estate project manager and Sandra Dalin to controller. Curtis will be responsible for project evaluation, monitoring and strategy development in Seattle and Poland. Dalin will be responsible for accounting, financial analysis and financial reporting. Stellar is the primary investor in Thornton Place, the mixed-use project that will be located in the south parking lot of Northgate Mall. Construction is expected to be complete in early 2010. It has holdings in the United States, Sweden and Poland.
Coldwell Banker Commercial has announced the formation of its new Virtual Office system for commercial real estate agents in Washington. It said the system will allow commercial agents to direct their own business and keep a substantial amount of the real estate fees and commissions they generate.
