Banner Bank

Banner Bank hired Alex Dorn as assistant vice president/retail branch manager at a new Bellevue branch, set to open this spring. Kathy Crawford, customer service supervisor, and Joan Krona, personal banker, will also work at the new branch. Dorn has 18 years of banking experience. The new Bellevue branch will be on the northwest corner of 108th Avenue Northeast and Northeast Fourth Street.

RBC Wealth Management

RBC Wealth Management in Seattle hired Jerome Bosch as a financial consultant in the Seattle office. Bosch worked with Wachovia Securities as a senior vice president and has 24 years of experience.

Union Bank of California

Union Bank of California, N.A. hired John Calhoun and Chris Merrywell as senior vice presidents in the wealth management group. Calhoun will manage and grow business for personal trust offices in Seattle, Tacoma and Portland. Merrywell will manage private banking relationships and oversee retail branches in Seattle and Bellevue. Both will be based in Seattle. UnionBanCal Corp. is based in San Francisco.

Bernardo-Wills Architects

Bernardo-Wills Architects promoted Robert Pace to principal. Pace joined the firm in 1994 and became an associate principal in 1999. In 2004, Pace was the first architect at the firm to attain LEED accreditation. Pace’s past projects include Concourse C expansion at Spokane International Airport, Grant County Advanced Technology Education Center at Big Bend Community College and Riverwalk Point in Spokane. Pace joins founding partners Robert Wills and Gary Bernardo as principals.

Triad Associates

Triad Associates promoted Erich Hiersche and Rhonda Howard to associates. Hiersche joined the company as an intern in 1999. He returned to Triad as a field crew member in 2004 and was promoted to party chief in 2005. He is working on the Second and Broad project and surveying for Lake Union boathouses at Ward’s Cove. Howard will celebrate seven years with Triad next month. In her role as print room coordinator, Howard enjoys learning about new technology and equipment. About 50 percent of the firm’s employees are associates.

Hargis Engineers

Hargis Engineers promoted Robert Smith to principal, Ronald Eliason and Erik Stearns to associate principals, and Brady Bell, Brendon Inman, Joshua Robischon, Michael Roberts, Patrick Shannon, and Thomas Neely to senior associates. A new team of associates is also joining Hargis’ leadership team: Charles Comstock, Greg Red, Kirk Petersen, Linda Burman, Matthew Strain, Niels Fallisgaard, Paul Robaidek, Paul Thomas, Reid Herron and Stephanie Anderson.

Mayer/Reed hired Tanya Boyer as marketing director. Boyer has 14 years of experience in architecture, engineering and construction marketing. Boyer previously served as marketing director and a senior associate at David Evans and Associates. She led a seven-person team as well as strategic planning and business development for 19 offices during her eight-year tenure. Most recently, she was self-employed as a marketing and communications consultant.

Cierra Electrical Group

Cierra Electrical Group promoted Jeff Losnegard to principal. Losnegard has more than 30 years of electrical and lighting design experience, and specializes in design for health care. Losnegard recently designed lighting for the pedestrian bridge at the Museum of Flight, Valley Medical Center Emergency Services Tower, University Place Library and UW’s Savery Hall. The firm also promoted John Benson to senior project manager. With 25 years of project management and design experience, Benson’s recent projects include the Museum of Flight Pedestrian Bridge, Angel of the Winds Casino Expansion for the Stillaguamish Tribe of Indians in Arlington, and Auburn Fire Station No. 33. The firm also promoted Jay Tilley to senior designer. With nine years of experience, Tilley works in both electrical design and lighting design. His recent projects include the Tulalip Data Center, Valley Medical Center Emergency Services Tower and Savery Hall

Tupper Mack Brower

Tupper Mack Brower, a Seattle law firm focusing on land use, natural resources and the environment, hired Lynne M. Cohee as of counsel and Bradford Doll as associate. Cohee has appellate experience in state and federal courts. Doll has worked in the Washington court system as a law clerk and a judicial extern in King County Superior Court.

Shoreline Bank

Shoreline Bank opened a fourth full service branch in Shoreline on Ballinger Way and 19th Avenue Northeast. Staff members at the Ballinger-Lake Forest Park Branch include Manager Joo Sun Choe, Operations Manager Patti Gibbony, and community bankers Joel Phillips, Cate Callahan and Natasha Sorenson. Shoreline Bank is a subsidiary of Northwest Community Bancorp.

Northwest Zoo & Aquarium Alliance

Eight accredited Northwest zoos and aquariums have founded the Northwest Zoo & Aquarium Alliance and hired Cheryl Hummon as conservation director. Hummon has 17 years experience in conservation and will work to protect native Northwest species through public education, projects, research and advocacy. The partnership has been in development for three years. Each member institution has committed to two cents per visitor to fund it. Local members include Woodland Park Zoo, Northwest Trek Wildlife Park, Point Defiance Zoo and the Seattle Aquarium.
