One Reel, the nonprofit art and cultural organization has made some executive changes. Michele Scoleri, executive director and artistic director for the Festivals Division, is leaving her post though she will stay on as a part-time consultant for this year. Jon Stone, director of production, will succeed Scoleri as executive director. Stone has worked for One Reel since 1992. Scoleri started at One Reel in 2000.
Richard Kozarek, executive director of the Digestive Disease Institute at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, was named president of the World Gastroenterology Organisation. He is the second president from the United States in the organization's 51-year history. Kozarek has been at Virginia Mason since 1983 and is a clinical professor of medicine at the University of Washington. The WGO has 50,000 members.
Bellevue Arts Museum named Stefano Catalani director of curatorial affairs/artistic director. Catalani has served as curator since 2005. Catalani succeeds Michael Monroe who is retiring after a 40-year career in the arts. He has been named director emeritus at BAM. Nora Atkinson, who has been exhibitions curator since 2006, has been promoted to curator.



Olympic Associates Co. changed its name to OAC Services and updated its Web site. The change took effect on Jan. 1 for the Seattle-based company that provides management, process and engineering solutions. Its specialties include construction and project management, building enclosures, construction support, value analysis, and forensic architecture and engineering.

The Seattle-based communications firm Frause hired Carolyn Duncan as a senior associate. Duncan was the King County executive's communications director under Ron Sims and Kurt Triplett.
C. Scott Penner, a principal at the law firm Carney Badley Spellman, has been elected director of the litigation department. Penner joined the firm in 1989. His practice emphasizes construction law, design professional defense and insurance coverage litigation.
Sip. at the wine bar & restaurant Issaquah promoted Chris Brown to executive chef. Brown has been with Sip. Issaquah since it opened in 2007. He began as sous chef under then Executive Chef Cody Reaves, who now leads the kitchen at Sip. Seattle.
The Bone & Joint Center of Seattle, a new multi-specialty orthopedic practice, has opened and is accepting patients. Launched by orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Kevin Smith, the practice offers evaluation, treatment and management of injuries and conditions of the shoulder and elbow. The clinic is located in the Northwest Outpatient Medical Center at 10330 Meridian Ave. N. in Seattle.
