Yost Grube Hall

The Portland architecture firm Yost Grube Hall Architecture has added Richard Grace, Lona Rerick and Phillip Lopez to its ownership group. Grace has 13 years as a designer of institutional, commercial and mixed-use development projects. His work with sustainable projects includes the LEED gold Humboldt State University Behavioral & Social Sciences Building. He is a project designer for U.S. Department of State projects. Rerick has 13 years in architecture and interior design. She is a project architect and sustainability/LEED coordinator at YGH and a former chair of the AIA Portland chapter's committee on the environment. She is working on Department of State projects and Central Oregon Community College's Health Careers, Culinary Instructional and Science buildings. Lopez is a design assistant at YGH experienced in schematic and design development and construction documentation and administration. He is working on Department of State projects. The 60-person firm provides planning, architecture and interior design.

BOE architects

BOE architects hired Albert A. de Santis as an architect. He is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon in architecture and registered in Washington. He is managing the design of Fort Lewis Town Center residential and mixed-use projects.

Schacht Aslani Architects

Schacht Aslani Architects hired Michael Bartolome and Jean Stolzman. Bartolome has 10 years of architectural experience on commercial and industrial projects, from small office improvements to large mixed-use projects. He was previously at Callison. Stolzman, an architect, has 20 years of experience on educational, corporate and public projects, including design, construction documentation and project management. She is working on the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History long range development plan and the Technology Building at North Seattle Community College.

Berkadia Commercial Mortgage

Berkadia Commercial Mortgage hired Louis Weisman as senior vice president and branch manager of its recently opened commercial real estate loan origination office in Seattle. Weisman has 25 years of experience in acquisition and permanent financing for multifamily and commercial income-producing real estate assets and was with Key Bank Real Estate Capital.

Holland America Line

Holland America Line promoted Gerald Bernhoft to director of the Mariner Society, where he will oversee marketing with past guests and the Mariner Society Rewards Program. He was previously director, national accounts and has 30 years of experience in the cruise industry.

EWI of Seattle

Executive Women International of Seattle will hold its annual Scholarship Dinner on May 18 at the Columbia Tower Club. The organization has an annual scholarship program that awards financial aid to three local high school juniors. Swinerton Builders

The Bellevue office of Swinerton Builders added Lou Zonta as business development manager. Zonta has more than 25 years of experience in the commercial real estate and construction industries, including asset, leasing and brokerage management in Southern California and the Pacific Northwest. He also helped two international general contracting firms grow their businesses in the U.S. He is a graduate of the Urban Land Economics program at the University of British Columbia and the Marketing Management program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology.

EagleView Technologies

Heidi J. Ellsworth joined roofing software company EagleView Technologies as marketing director. Ellsworth has been in the roofing industry since 1993, holding positions at Malarkey Roofing, Carlisle SynTec and EcoStar. She also ran a roofing-focused marketing firm called HJE Marketing. In her new role, she is responsible for marketing communications, product marketing, advertising, new product launches and strategic positioning in both the roofing and insurance industries. Bothell-based EagleView develops aerial roof measurement software.

Law firm Ryan Swanson hired John Ruhl as of counsel. Ruhl spent 15 years with Eisenhower Carlson's Seattle office and has experience as a commercial trial lawyer in state and federal courts.

Clipper Vacations

Clipper Vacations hired Kathryn Mayer and Jill Evavold to its sales and marketing department. Mayer was director of sales for a Best Western property in Virginia. Evavold has experience in hotel sales as well as working as a professional meeting planner and a travel agent.

Executive to combine Human Services and Community Services

Pierce County

Pierce County Executive Pat McCarthy said the county will combine two departments — Community Services and Human Services, following a recommendation from a team of county staff. Human Services oversees programs that provide aging and long-term care services, mental health services, and services to people with developmental disabilities and chemical dependencies. Community Services provides housing and other support services to low-income families, and works with the WSU Pierce County Extension.
