Spanish media in the state of Washington formed the Washington Hispanic Media Association or WAHMA to increase awareness about the Hispanic community, which is the fastest growing minority group in the state. Members are Adelante Media Group, Salem Communications, Oye Productions and El Mundo.
Seafreeze/City Ice, a Seattle cold storage provider, hired Bonnie Geise as vice president of business development. Geise has 20 years of cold chain experience and was recently with SCS Refrigerated Services.
Doctors Express, a nationwide network of urgent care centers, opened a location in lower Queen Anne at 610 First Ave. North, above Metropolitan Market. Doctors Express offers a broad range of treatments.
Frazier Healthcare, a provider of equity and venture capital to health care companies, promoted Brian Morfitt to partner and Ben Magnano to principal. Morfitt joined Frazier in 2003 as an associate. Magnano joined in 2006 as an associate.
Quantivate, a provider of web-based business software, moved to new headquarters in Woodinville. The new space is three times larger. It has a product development center, a demonstration center and space for management, engineering, quality and support organizations.


Maury Costantini was promoted from vice president of sales and marketing to president of Control Contractors Inc. The Seattle-based company also named Brian Miller chief technology officer and Rick Campfield vice president for the Oregon market. Costantini has more than 18 years of mechanical and building automation industry experience. Prior to joining CCI, he was vice president of sales for a HVAC software company. Miller has more than 25 years of experience and is transitioning out of his Anchorage branch management role, but will continue working at that office. Campfield has 25 years of industry experience and holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Washington. CCI provides building automation, energy services, fire/life safety and access control services for new and existing buildings.
Boise State University construction management students recently competed at the 24th annual Associated Schools of Construction Region 6 Student Competition held in Reno, Nev. BSU teams took first place in the Heavy Civil division, and second in the Design Build and Multi-Family divisions. The Heavy Civil team included: Stephen Earl (captain), Jared Staub, Matt Wilson, Shane Medley, Nick Meyer, Cody Allison, Brack Judy (alternate), Robert Nicol (alternate) and Thomas Woodall (faculty coach). The Design Build team included: Tucker Robb (captain), Joe Coba, Casey Gaughan, Nathan Griggs, Tim Harris, Jared Townsend, Matt Basye (alternate) and Tony Songer (faculty coach). The Multi-Family team included: Brian Root (captain), Alex Carles, Paul Haas, Drew Haviland, Josh Milton, Kris Moncada, Chase Dyksterhouse (alternate) and William Mincks (faculty coach). Songer is chair of the school's CM department.
