Hanson Professional Services hired railroad designer Tristan Rickett in Seattle. He is assisting with a track assessment report and design summary drawings for clients. He was a traffic intern with the Portland Bureau of Transportation. He holds a bachelor's in civil engineering from Gonzaga University and a master's in civil engineering from the University of Illinois. Hanson provides engineering, architecture and planning.








Landau Associates hired James Farrow as Portland office manager and senior associate hydrogeologist, Don Malkemus as a staff geologist and Noah Nequette as a lab/field technician. It promoted Dana Olcott to senior project engineer, Toni Smith to senior staff hydrogeologist, Juliann Cooley to project coordinator and Jacob Neal to senior project scientist. Theresa Turpin, an associate environmental planner, recently became a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners. Farrow has 20 years of environmental experience including site investigation, audits, negotiations, water resource assessment/development, and renewable energy facilities. Malkemus' experience includes soil and groundwater investigations and site assessments. Nequette is working in the geotechnical laboratory and providing field work assistance. Olcott has 10 years of experience in geotechnical investigations, foundation and earthwork design, and construction monitoring. Smith specializes in hydrologic and geologic data. Cooley is responsible for technical editing. Neal was has 10 years of experience in environmental consulting, including site assessments, excavation management, spill response, stormwater permitting and erosion contro. Landau Associates provides geotechnical and environmental engineering and natural resource consulting.

Jason Williard of RMC Architects received his Washington architecture license. Williard graduated from Syracuse University with a bachelor's degree in architecture, and has been a RMC employee since 2006. He has more than 10 years of experience in commercial, residential and institutional projects. Bellingham-based RMC provides design and planning.
Jensen Maritime Consultants has expanded operations to the southern United States with a second office within parent company Crowley Maritime Corp.'s Jacksonville, Fla., headquarters. This brings Jensen closer to customers and shipyards. The new office will be managed by Senior Naval Architect Daniel Cavalier, who recently moved from Crowley to Jensen, and is now reporting to Jensen's Roy Neyman, manager of project management, in Seattle. Jensen's primary office will continue to be at Pier 17 in Seattle. Seattle-based Jensen provides naval architecture and marine engineering.
Lane Powell shareholder Katie Matison received the Washington Defense Trial Lawyers Presidential Award for service to the organization. She chairs Lane Powell's London Market Group and is a member of the Admiralty and Maritime Group.
Seattle-based Darigold board of directors selected Jim Wegner to succeed retiring John Underwood as president and CEO of Northwest Dairy Association and Darigold. Wegner was senior vice president of technical services. Underwood will serve as special executive and assist with the transition. Wegner has 35 years of experience in the dairy industry.
Helsell Fetterman hired Mark Schwarz as an associate attorney. His practice focuses on taxes, business and real estate transactions and estate planning. Schwarz represented the U.S. Internal Revenue Service as a senior attorney and a special assistant U.S. attorney.
The Oregon Zoo Foundation named Jani Iverson director. Iverson is a 15-year veteran of nonprofits. She succeeds Pamela Knowles, who left in June to become executive director of industry relations for the Oregon State University College of Business.
RMG Asset Management recently opened, with offices in Bellevue and Portland. RMG will be led by Mark McClure, president and managing director; Lance McIntosh, senior vice president, director; and Andy Campbell, senior vice president, director. They worked together at Ragen MacKenzie, which was acquired in 1999 by Wells Fargo Investments. A group of employees has been working with Wells Fargo for more than a year to make the practice independent.
