Portland-based law firm Stoel Rives hired John R. Neidecker as chief business development officer. Neidecker was chief client development officer for Edwards Wildman Palmer in Boston.
University Book Store CEO Bryan Pearce, who had been with the store since 1990 and was named CEO in 2002, died April 20 after a yearlong battle with cancer. His successor is Louise Little, who has been the store's director of human resources since 1989. Pearce was well known on the UW campus and in local communities, and served on several local boards as well as on the board of the Independent College Bookstore Association.
Washington Insurance Commissioner Mike Kreidler named Jim Odiorne as chief deputy. Odiorne came to the agency in 1989. He has worked as deputy commissioner of the company supervision division since 1996.
Redmond-based MicroVision hired Stephen P. Holt as chief financial officer and Michael J. Franzi as vice president of marketing and business development. Holt was chief financial officer at PixelOptics. Franzi was vice president and general manager of Sonic Focus at Synopsys. MicroVision specializes in innovative ultra-miniature projection display technology.
A local investor represented by Ken Butler of Charleston, S.C.-based Butler Commercial Investments LLC bought The Colony Park Business Center in Lynnwood for $7.85 million, or $95.19 per square foot. Jones Lang LaSalle Senior Vice President Daniel Seger, managing directors Ann Chamberlin and Mark Flippo, and Vice President Brent Jackson represented the seller, which was an entity of Washington Capital Management. The six-building, 82,467-square-foot property is at 19011-19029 36th Ave. W. It was 86 percent leased to 20 tenants at the time of sale. In January, Jones Lang LaSalle facilitated the $4 million sale of a 29,570-square-foot office and bank building in the business center.



Keller Williams Realty recently hired three agents in Seattle. Bill Brown has more than 20 years of experience in the industry, most recently with Asset Realty. Margo Christophilis will lead a residential real estate team of seven brokers and support staff that will likely grow to 15 by the end of the year. Tracy Bailly has 17 years of experience as a recruiter and managing broker in Washington and Oregon. She will work on a team that handles luxury listings in Seattle and the Eastside. Keller Williams is based in Austin, Texas, and has more than 80,000 employees in 700 offices in the U.S. and Canada.

Allison Mascarin has joined Jones Lang LaSalle's Seattle brokerage team, where she will specialize in agency leasing. She will work with Laura Ford and Stuart Williams representing downtown office landlords. She worked in marketing at Jones Lang LaSalle for the last four years. Among Mascarin's assignments will be Century Square, a 30-story Class A office building. Jones Lang LaSalle employs 305 people in Seattle. The company has more than 1,000 offices in 70 countries.
San Diego-based Ace Parking Management has reached an agreement with Kemper Development Co. and American Assets to run five parking lots in Bellevue. The lots are at Kemper's Bellevue Place, Hyatt Regency Bellevue, Lincoln Square, Bellevue Westin and American Assets' City Center. Ace signed a deal with a different property owner to manage three lots in Portland. Ace employs 342 people in the Pacific Northwest and manages 25 locations. Nationwide, the company manages more than 450 locations serving nearly 200,000 customers per day.
Brentwood, Tenn.-based Churchill Mortgage recently added 16 employees in branches around the country, including one in Gig Harbor. Ryan T. Ryan will work as a loan officer. He has more than 20 years of experience in financial services and real estate. Churchill provides residential mortgages with offices in 26 states.
The Commercial Real Estate Women of Seattle and Sound will discuss Via6, a high-profile apartment complex anchored by several Tom Douglas businesses, at its next lunch meeting at 11:30 a.m. May 9 at the Washington Athletic Club in Seattle. Pamela Hinckley, CEO of Tom Douglas Restaurants; Steve Nordlund of GGLO; and Matt Rosauer of Pine Street Group, the developer of Via6, will speak.
