Gregg Davidson, superintendent and CEO of Skagit Regional Health, was elected chair of Washington State Hospital Association, the membership association of 105 state hospitals.
Aortica Corp. of Bellevue, an early stage privately held company focused on treatments for abdominal aortic aneurysms, named Shannon Eubanks vice president of operations.
Marisol International, a Roadrunner Transportation Systems firm based in Cudahy, Wisconsin, will open an office in Seattle as part of the new Northwest Seaport Alliance between the ports of Seattle and Tacoma. The NWSA alliance is the third largest trade gateway in North America, with international two-way trade totaling $73.6 billion in 2014.
Itron, a Spokane-based technology company focused on energy and water use, named Tom Deitrich executive vice president and chief operating officer.

CBRE has hired Jeff Grose to lead the Valuation and Advisory Services Group. He will be a senior managing director in charge of all valuation services in the Pacific Northwest. Grose has more than 20 years of experience, and last worked at Colliers International, where he managed valuation services in Portland, Vancouver and Boise. CBRE is based in Los Angeles and has more than 70,000 employees 400 offices around the world.
The Mark Co., the broker for Bosa Development's Insignia condo project in Seattle, has been acquired by Pacific Union International of San Francisco. The Mark Co. will continue to use its brand name under the banner of Pacific Union. The Mark Co. said it has generated more than $5 billion in sales and represented some of the biggest projects in the West totaling more than 10,000 units. Pacific Union is a luxury brokerage that operates in eight northern California regions. Its 2014 sales volume was $6.75 billion.
The Trails at Silverdale opens its first stores this weekend: Ulta Beauty, home fashion store HomeGoods and AT&T. The 220,000-square-foot center is the first major new retail in Kitsap County in more than 15 years, according to a press release from the developer, CenterCal Properties of El Segundo, California. Blazing Onion will open by the end of the year. Stores set to open in 2016 include Chipotle, Corner Bakery Cafe, Mod Pizza, Pacific Dental, Select Comfort, Total Wine and Verizon Wireless. The center is in the Waaga Way development district, just north of Kitsap Mall, at the intersection of Greaves Way and state Route 3.

Fisher & Phillips LLP, a national labor and employment law firm, added Rochelle Nelson and Cody Nunn in the Seattle office. Both won the CALI Award for Legal Excellence. Nelson will focus on employment law and Nunn will focus on immigration. Nelson was a law clerk for the Washington State Supreme Court. Nunn worked at Expeditors and was a law clerk in Snohomish County Superior Court.

John Coughlan has joined Lane Powell in the Startups and Emerging Companies Practice Group. He will focus on corporate, tax and transactional matters.
Seattle Repertory Theatre said Braden Abraham has been appointed artistic head, effective immediately. He has been a member of the Rep's artistic staff for 13 years, and was named acting artistic director in 2014, following the death of Jerry Manning. The four-year contract runs through 2019.










Gustafson Guthrie Nichol promoted Annelise Aldrich, Jordan Bell, Chihiro Shinohara Donovan, Patrick Keegan, Makie Suzuki and Yuichiro Tsutsumi to associate and Selina Hunstiger, Bryn Kepler, Ju Liu and Katia Rios to designer. The Seattle-based landscape architecture firm's projects include CityCenterDC, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation campus and the Pike-Pine Renaissance streetscape plan.


SHKS Architects promoted Matt Inpanbutr and Nelson Martelle to associate. Inpanbutr joined the firm in 2007 and concentrates on complex preservation projects such as the Legislative Building in Olympia and Lewis Hall at the University of Washington. He is working on the Bellingham Federal Building rehab. Nelson was hired in 2008. He has worked on projects at the University of Washington and Mitchell Activity Center at Seattle Central College, and is working on Seattle Fire Station 18. SHKS Architects designs buildings and sites, focusing on adaptive reuse and rehabilitation.

Stantec hired Giovanna Gambardella as a senior architect in its Anchorage office. She has over 14 years of in-state experience and has worked in Maine, Guam, Italy and the Netherlands. Her projects include libraries, museums, health care, higher education, schools, senior housing and multifamily. Stantec's services include planning, engineering, architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, surveying, environmental sciences, project management and project economics.

In its Seattle office, Morrison Hershfield hired Amanda Prot, David Rash and Eric Nielsen as building science consultants, and Robin Hood as an administrative assistant. Prot relocated from the Ottawa office. She has over 10 years of building science experience, including new construction and rehab. Rash is a registered roofing consultant. Nielsen has a background in architecture and building enclosure design. Morrison Hershfield is a multi-disciplinary engineering firm with 18 offices in North America.

Professional Service Industries promoted Michael Place to principal consultant of its geotechnical engineering service line. He will also be project engineer/laboratory manager in the Lynnwood office. Place has over 12 years of project experience and since 2013 has worked at PSI, which provides environmental, engineering and testing services.
