Salmon Recovery Office

Erik Neatherlin is the new leader of the Governor's Salmon Recovery Office in Olympia. Neatherlin was science director and policy lead for salmon recovery with the state Department of Fish & Wildlife. The office coordinates 25 community-based watershed groups and seven regional organizations that are charged with implementing federally approved recovery plans for salmon, steelhead and bull trout.

ExtraHop

In Seattle, ExtraHop hired Corey Bodzin as vice president of product management and Aron Digumarthi as vice president of customer success. Bodzin was a product executive at Tenable and Qualys. Digumarthi was a customer success executive at Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Beckon. ExtraHop provides enterprise cyber analytics.

KM promotes Hatcher

Kidder Mathews announced the elevation of four brokerage heads in different U.S. divisions. Here in Seattle, that means Brian Hatcher has been made regional president of the Pacific Northwest. In a statement, KM's Bill Frame said, “We appreciate the efforts of these leaders who have worked hard to dramatically grow our company for the benefit of our clients as well as our professionals and employees, who are the ownership of our firm.” Hatcher has been with KM for about 23 years.

Public policy pub crawl

The AIA Urban Design Forum will take place over beers this month. It's actually a joint event with the AIA's Public Policy Board. Discussion will center on housing, climate, transportation, and more. Bellevue-based Wood Harbinger promoted Nick Baker and June Mechure to associate principal and hired Joe Leysath as a senior project manager. Baker leads the mechanical engineering and commissioning teams and is a market leader for the transportation, municipal and aviation sectors. He has 12 years of experience and helped build commissioning into a successful service line for the firm. Mechure is a market leader for health care. The electrical engineer and project manager has over 25 years of experience in health care engineering for facilities in the Puget Sound area, including Harborview, Northwest and Valley medical centers. Leysath will be a military market leader alongside Bruce Alward to serve Department of Defense and federal agency clients. He has over 30 years of experience, including previously at Wood Harbinger, in electrical engineering, security systems design and project management for projects and markets.

Bellevue-based Baylis Architects promoted Lisa Lu to associate principal and Juan Garcini and Ann Williamson to associate. Lu was hired in 2013 and is on the residential design team. She has been project manager on houses and worked on small commercial projects, including the two-story Market Street Office building in Kirkland, which has flexible workspace. Garcini has done mixed-use housing, commercial and industrial projects in his 25-year career. He rejoined Baylis in 2012. Williamson was hired in 2012 and provides direction for projects. She has managed commercial, residential and ecclesiastical projects over a 30-year career.

Engineering consulting firm Perteet hired Brianne Ross as a senior project manager in the transportation design group. Ross will be based in Snoqualmie, and lead Eastside project development efforts. She was senior transportation engineer at the city of Issaquah, where she helped deliver its six-year transportation improvement plan and worked on multi-modal transportation issues. Her recent experience includes Cleveland Streetscape Improvements in Redmond.

Bremerton-based Rice Fergus Miller hired Jamie Hysell as an interior designer in its hospitality studio. Hysell has 13 years of design experience, including in the tribal hospitality market with Tulalip Resort Casino, Red Wind Casino and Spirit Mountain Casino, and work on boutique hotels. Rice Fergus Miller is an architecture, interior design, planning and visualization firm.

Tacoma-based Swenson Healthcare hired Sara Walden as chief nursing officer and Dahan Pham as CFO. Walden is an RN with experience in geriatric nursing and administration. She was director of nursing at Life Care Center in Port Orchard. Pham is a CPA with over 18 years of management experience in accounting, finance, information systems and operations at companies such as Kiel Mortgage, Sefnco Communications and Cascadia International. Swenson Healthcare is a clinical practice serving post-acute care patients throughout the state.

In Seattle, Brooks Running promoted Dan Sheridan to executive vice president and COO, overseeing sales, e-commerce, digital, supply chain and IT teams. Sheridan joined Brooks in 1998 and his last role was leading global sales, e-commerce, business development and customer service.
