Lasher

Nine attorneys at Seattle-based law firm Lasher were recognized in the 2025 Chambers High Net Worth (HNW) Guide.

City of Tacoma

As part of its ongoing work to address disparities for historically underutilized businesses owned by minority, women and socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, the city of Tacoma's Equity in Contracting Program is partnering with the state Office of Minority & Women's Business Enterprises (OMWBE) to host an OMWBE Certification 201 workshop on Aug. 18, from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The workshop will be conducted in a hybrid format, with in-person and virtual options to attend. Sound Transit

Sound Transit will hold a public hearing on its 2025-2030 Transit Development Plan, now available online, at Union Station, 401 S. Jackson St. in Seattle, and virtually, from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Aug. 7.

The Transit Development Plan provides updated information to the Washington State Department of Transportation on various elements of public transit service delivered by Sound Transit. It contains details on the agency's goals (and how they align with state and local long-range priorities), performance measures and targets, planned capital improvements and operating changes for the next six years, and a multiyear financial plan overview.

As a public transit agency in the state of Washington, Sound Transit is required annually to prepare a six-year Transit Development Plan.

To comment at the public hearing, advance sign-up is required. If you wish to comment in person, you must sign up ahead of time on a sheet outside of the boardroom. If you wish to listen or comment virtually, details will be published on the hearing's event page. The sign-up window will be open online from 12:01 a.m. on the day of the hearing until five minutes before the hearing's scheduled start time.

Andy Oldenburg has joined Alliant Insurance Services as senior vice president within its Alliant Americas division. Based in Portland, Oldenburg will provide a full range of strategic risk and insurance solutions to clients throughout the Pacific Northwest. Oldenburg joins Alliant with more than 20 years of experience working with clients from a broad array of industries and disciplines and specializes in risk management and alternative risk strategies. Oldenburg also has extensive experience with general liability, employment practices liability, property, auto, workers' compensation, and various other lines of coverage. Prior to joining Alliant, Oldenburg served as a commercial lines insurance agent with a global insurance brokerage and consulting firm. Oldenburg earned his bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Montana and attended Lewis & Clark Law School. He holds the CRM and CRIS insurance designations. Williams brings decades of cross-sector leadership experience and a long history of service to Oregon's public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Most recently, he served as president and CEO of the Oregon Community Foundation, where he led the organization through a decade of growth and transformation, expanding total assets from $1.2 billion to $3.7 billion and more than doubling statewide grantmaking. Previously, Williams directed the Oregon Department of Corrections and served three terms in the Oregon Legislature, including as chair of the House Judiciary Committee. The 5th Avenue

The 5th Avenue Theatre Company's Executive Director Bill Berry announced the appointment of Ariel Gomez Bradler as managing director. Gomez Bradler will serve as second in command of The 5th, overseeing business operations, administrative staff, financial management and strengthening community alliances and partnerships. Gomez Bradler will lead all aspects of The 5th's operations, supervising key department functions, implementing financial principles and practices, and helping shape The 5th's community and cultural engagement and belonging efforts. Berry continues his role as executive director, guiding the vision and artistic programming, partnering with the board, executive, and governance members on long-term sustainability practices, and leading The 5th's special funding campaign to raise funds above and beyond operations to stabilize the theatre and provide capitalization assurance. Gomez Bradler joined The 5th in 2022 and in three years has been promoted twice with increased responsibility and oversight. In 2024 she was promoted to senior director of culture and operations. She also served on the negotiation team for the Seattle Theatre Group Alliance, and is The 5th's lead in creating the operating agreement. Prior to joining The 5th, Gomez Bradler served as the director of finance and operations at Taproot Theatre. She previously held leadership positions at Seattle Children's Theatre and Theatre Puget Sound. Gomez Bradler earned Bachelor of Arts in Directing from the University of Colorado at Denver and spent two seasons as an associate company member of Curious Theatre Company. The 5th Avenue Theatre Company's 2024/25 Season concludes with “After Midnight,” which runs Aug. 5 to 24.

Rolluda Architects (RAI) has hired Ramiro Zamarripa, Liliane Sabra, Grace Koyama, and Rasi McCarter.

Zamarripa joins as a designer III with over 20 years of experience in designing healthcare, educational, multi-family housing, and fire station facilities. He focuses on improving team performance through best practices and efficient workflows. Some of his clients include Sound Transit, Boeing, Lakewood School District, King County, and several local hospitals and medical centers. Zamarripa holds a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction from Auburn University.

Sabra holds a Master of Architecture and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Washington. In her role as project architect I, Sabra brings a range of experience to the team, having contributed to projects across healthcare, aviation and transportation, K–12 educational campuses, places of worship, convention centers, multifamily housing, and retail.

Koyama is serving a student internship with RAI as a part-time receptionist. She is a high school student passionate about sustainability, environmental activism, and combating climate change. She would also like to contribute to resolving the homelessness crisis in Seattle and improve living standards across Washington state.

McCarter is a marketing student at Washington State University providing marketing and design support at RAI. He will help the marketing department with the company website, social media, and various other projects.

Architects West

Casey

Architects West has added two new members to its team, Helen Casey and Jacob Mayfield.

Casey is now with Architects West as a landscape designer. Casey earned her Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Idaho. She focuses on welcoming spaces in local and regional communities, exercising environmental design and the use of native plant species. Current projects include two for Lakeland School District, including the new Timberlake High School Field House, Mountain West Bank Remodel, and master planning for Canopy Village.

Mayfield joins the Architects West team as a BIM technician. Mayfield recently received his Associate of Applied Science degree in Architectural Technology from Spokane Community College. His served in the United States Army with a focus on technology, software, and hands-on experience in the building and landscape construction industries. Mayfield joins the design team to work on the addition and modernization of four locations of the Southern Idaho Solid Waste District.

The Marketing Department

The Marketing Department has hired Zoey Zemanek as marketing specialist. Zemanek joins the team with more than a decade of architecture, engineering, and construction marketing experience with a specialty in the engineering sector. Zemanek's background includes strategic positioning, proposal development, brand storytelling, and translating technical language. Zemanek's skills include collaboration, working across internal teams and with project partners.

Seattle-based Marchex appointed Paul Gallagher as vice president of channel sales. In this role, Gallagher will be responsible for executing a high-impact channel strategy that accelerates Marchex's reach and revenue through strategic partnerships and alliances. With more than 25 years of expertise spanning sales, marketing, and technology leadership, Gallagher possesses a comprehensive knowledge of channel development, go-to-market strategies, and scalable growth initiatives. Most recently, he served as partner and COO at Will Marlow Agency, where he achieved a threefold increase in the client base, introduced new service offerings, and implemented an internal AI strategy to enhance service delivery efficiency. At Marchex, Gallagher will oversee channel partner recruitment, enablement, and sales across cloud platforms, field service systems, CRMs, DMS, and analytics solutions. Additionally, he will be responsible for advancing channel sales through Microsoft and AWS Marketplaces by aligning business and technical goals to foster customer-focused innovation. Marchex harnesses the power of AI and conversational intelligence to provide actionable insights aligned with prescriptive vertical market data analytics, driving operational excellence and revenue acceleration.

DreamPark

DreamPark, the creator of a downloadable mixed-reality theme park platform, opened a permanent DreamPark experience at West Canal Yards, a new waterfront redevelopment on Seattle's Ship Canal. The 25,000-square-foot free-roam augmented world offers real-life adventure for adults and kids by transforming everyday environments into immersive adventures through mixed reality. DreamPark was founded by industry veterans Brent Bushnell, a Seattle-based entrepreneur and son of Atari and Chuck E. Cheese founder Nolan Bushnell; Aidan Wolf, co-founder of AR House and a former creator at SNAP; and Kevin Habich, co-founder of Kevaid and CTO/co-founder of Frameri. DreamPark was featured on ABC's Shark Tank in April 2025. DreamPark's entertainment experience engages families, adults seeking social activities and corporate teams looking for team-building solutions. The West Canal Yards installation was spearheaded by lead developer Ned Carner to addresses the growing need to revitalize idle retail spaces across the country. DreamPark eliminates the million-dollar construction costs of typical VR venues by requiring no permanent infrastructure.
