Eating Recovery Center takes space in Overlake

An eating disorder clinic will lease the eighth floor of Overlake Medical Pavilion, a new medical office building at Overlake Hospital Medical Center.

The building's owner, Healthcare Realty, said Eating Recovery Center will take 25,200 square feet next spring.

Doctors will offer 24-hour support, observation and treatment for eating disorders such as anorexia and bulimia.

Overlake Medical Pavilion is a nine-story building with a 6,500-square-foot roof deck for patients and doctors.

CollinsWoerman was the architect, and Andersen Construction Co. was the general contractor. Paul Carr, Steve Perovich, Tim Owens and Marcus Yamamoto of CBRE are handling the leasing. The building is 45 percent leased.

Eating Recovery Center is based in Denver, and recently formed a partnership with Moore Center, an eating disorder clinic founded in 1991 in Bellevue.

Chicago Title hires Costello

Costello

Chicago Title of Washington has added corporate business attorney Michael Costello. He will be an escrow specialist for the National Commercial Services division and work on closing transactions. Costello worked at Davis Wright Tremaine on mergers and acquisitions, commercial lending and startup financing. Chicago Title has offices in Seattle, Bellevue, Kent, Mercer Island and Renton.

Teledyne signs lease at North Creek

Teledyne Blueview, which provides imaging services for engineers, signed a 11,000-square-foot lease at North Creek Parkway Center, a 205,700-square-foot office building owned by an entity related to KBS Capital Advisors. Two other companies, Alder Biopharmaceuticals and Mirabilis Medica, extended their leases. North Creek Parkway Center has four one-story and two two-story buildings, completed in 1987. The buildings are 78 percent office, 17 percent labs and 5 percent industrial, and are in the 52-acre North Creek business park in Bothell.

Jones promoted at Stewart Title

Stewart Title Guaranty Co. has promoted John Jones to senior underwriter. Jones, who is based in Seattle, has more than 35 years of experience in title insurance. He served as the primary underwriting counsel for major projects in the area including the Washington State Convention Center, Pike Place Market and the Space Needle. Stewart Title provides underwriting services for real estate transactions.

Blueprint Capital now a REIT

Blueprint Capital LLC, a Seattle-based residential construction lender, is now a real estate investment trust. Founders Mark Knoll and Dan Duffus said the change to a stock-based corporation will simplify the structure. Blueprint is a cooperative and lends only to builders who are members and stockholders. Blueprint plans to issue a distribution of earnings in the fourth quarter. It specializes in loans and development services for small local projects.

Chamber lunch topic: the Spring District

Greg Johnson of Wright Runstad and Co. will talk about the future of his company's 36-acre Spring District development at the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce luncheon today at noon at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue. In about 15 years, the Spring District could have 3.7 million square feet of office space, 1.2 million square feet of housing, 199,000 square feet of hotels and 158,000 square feet of retail.
