Convention Center expansion not imperiled ... There is no truth to a recent media report that the $170 million plan to expand the Washington State Trade & Convention Center is in jeopardy. The Seattle Times reported Sunday that additional mitigation requirements by the Seattle City Council for the neighborhoods around the center may kill the plan that has been in the works officially for five years.
