Waterview Crossing may be the biggest local project you've never heard of. The 1.8 million-square-foot mixed-use housing complex is planned for a site on Highway 99 in Des Moines.
If that seems like an unusual location, you haven't been paying attention to Des Moines' long-held plans for the Pacific Ridge neighborhood. The city wants to put an urban village there, with “superior design features and building materials that together project a lasting, positive image of the community.”
