On the Block: With Space Needle upgrades done, Wright family now eyes mixed-use project nearby

The half block at 223 Taylor Ave. N. is zoned for construction up to 160 feet, but the property owner instead has plans for a mid-rise project.

The proposed new building will include warehouse space, which is unusual for a mixed-use project, as well as offices, commercial space and 226 apartments.
