On the Block: OMG! It's OMF East, where Sound Transit wants affordable housing (and probably offices)
The shorthand for Sound Transit's big Operations and Maintenance Facility now under construction in East Bellevue is, appropriately enough, OMF East. That nearly $450 million project is being overseen by Hensel Phelps, with VIA Architecture and Granite Construction also on the team.
Completion is expected at some point next year, after which OMF East will be the service depot for the new light rail line to Bellevue and Redmond, which will open in 2023.
