Has the magnet that pulled Americans closer to hearth and home since Sept. 11, 2001, begun to lose its strength?
For the first time in three years, a greater percentage of homebuyers over age 50 considering a move are "seeking distance" rather than buying a home within three hours of their present residence, according to data compiled by Pulte Homes, the nation's largest homebuilder.
