Impact Capital

Olsen

Judith Olsen is the new executive director of Impact Capital. She succeeds Heyward Watson, who is retiring. Olsen is vice president and community development officer at Wells Fargo in Oregon. She was on the board of Impact Capital, a Seattle-based nonprofit community developer that provides early financing for real estate in targeted neighborhoods.

Kidder Mathews

Kraft

Jeff Kraft joined Kidder Mathews' Tacoma brokerage division as a vice president. He specializes in retail leasing, development and acquisitions. He was with Neil Walter Co., where his clients included IGA Grocers, Duke's Chowder House and American Family Insurance.

NAI Puget Sound Properties

Tillman

Parker

Wyk Parker, formerly with Pacific Real Estate Partners, joined NAI Puget Sound Properties as senior vice president. He specializes in office sales and leasing. Jeff Tillman, formerly with CBRE, is a new NAI vice president. He advises clients on leasing, sales and development.

Realogics Sotheby

Sean Nielsen is a new associate broker in the downtown Seattle Realogics Sotheby's International Realty office. He specializes in relocating clients from suburban homes to in-city condominiums.

Security Properties

Seattle-based Security Properties said one of its sponsored funds, Security Properties Multifamily Fund, will invest in seven to 10 properties over the next two to three years. That will create a portfolio of 1,500 to 2,000 apartments in multiple markets. Earlier this year, the fund acquired a property in Tacoma and three in Beaverton, Ore., for a total of $49.3 million. Security has acquired or developed more than 64,000 units in more than 40 states.

Brookfield Residential

Brookfield purchased Prudential Real Estate and Relocation Services from Prudential Financial. The deal makes Brookfield North America's third largest residential real estate brokerage business and the world's second largest global relocation services provider. Mike Gain is CEO and managing broker of Prudential Northwest Realty Associates in Seattle. Prudential Real Estate affiliates will use the Prudential brand.

Seabrook

Seabrook, a new coastal community south of Pacific Beach, won three 2011 Gold Nugget Awards at the Pacific Coast Builders Conference. It won Gold Nugget Awards for Community Site Plan over 20 Acres and Residential Project of the Year. One Seabrook house won a merit award for Single Family Detached Home over 3,000 square feet on a conventional lot. Established in 2004, Seabrook has 200 houses, with plans to expand to 303.

John F. Buchan Homes

John F. Buchan Homes has unveiled its newest community: Sequoia Ridge at 11594 174th Court N.E. in Redmond. It has 14 sites for houses from 2,700 to 3,850 square feet. Prices range from $630,000 to $815,000, according to the website. A model home is open. Ron Volz of John L. Scott Real Estate is community sales manager.

Online course on managing houses

A new course called Managing Single Family Homes and Small Investment Properties is available online. The Institute of Real Estate Management and National Association of Residential Property Managers developed the course for real estate agents, homeowners and investors who are moving into property management.
