Trammell Crow

Trammell Crow Co., has promoted three senior managers. Ed Thenell now is senior vice president and institutional business leader for the Seattle Central Business District and Suburban Group. Kathy Flynn was promoted to vice president and alliance director for the Microsoft account. Mike Shigley now is vice president and alliance director for the Boeing account.

Triad Development

Triad Development has promoted Phyllis Waldenberg to assistant project manager/sales and marketing manager. She previously worked as project assistant to Triad Executive Vice President Ross Woods. She will work on Point Edwards, a condo project overlooking the Edmonds waterfront.

Longitude 122 LLC

Chris Hollis and Lonnie Oldham recently joined Longitude 122 LLC. Hollis is an assistant project manager and handles customer service for Longitude 122's various projects. He also works with Ross Woods, a Longitude owner, on a Tacoma condo project. Oldham is superintendent for the Point Edwards condo project. He previously worked in general contracting in Colorado.

Wolfgang Rood Hospitality Consulting

February hotel occupancy in Washington improved in most markets, according to Wolfgang Rood Hospitality Consulting of Bellevue. Downtown Seattle's occupancy jumped nearly 11 percent from February 2003, Snohomish County' increased almost 12 percent, and Pierce County and the Eastside's increased 4 and 2 percent, respectively. The increases occurred as the average daily room rates (ADR) went up, with the biggest jumps -- 3.6 percent -- occurring in downtown Seattle and Snohomish County. Seattle's average rate now is just under $120. In the SeaTac/Southcenter market, occupancy fell nearly 3 percent, and the room rate declined 4 percent to just over $78.

The Housing Partnership

The Housing Partnership, a nonprofit dedicated to increasing the supply and affordability of housing in the Puget Sound region, has launched a new effort called Community Housing Strategies: Market Innovation, Local Choice. The program studies a single market, and the research is used at a summit where participants hammer out a strategy the group hopes will work for builders and the community. REAL Trends, a national real estate trade publication, has ranked John L. Scott the eighth most productive independent real estate company in the nation based on 2003 sales volume. The REAL Trends 500 report incorporates 15 factors, based on sales criteria and company data, to come up with the rankings.

Windermere

Windermere Real Estate has unveiled a new map search tool, PropertyPoint, which is available for free at http://www.windermere.com. Users can search for houses by virtually displaying multiple listing service data using map coordinates and visual landmarks. Users can click and zoom to listings in a favorite neighborhood down to one single block. Windermere also has four new sales associates at its Queen Anne office in Seattle: Thomas Aleksander, formerly with Re/Max in Kirkland; Terry Kildal, previously with Skyline Realty in Bellevue; Paige Knappenberger, who's new to real estate; and Karen Stern, vice president of Stern Enterprises in Seattle.
