Description
The Dykeman Architects began with the school’s mountainous namesake
“Cascade” as a source of inspiration to create architectural identity
and focal points. Creating a unique visual identity to complement the
school’s history and environment were major goals of the remodel effort.
The spaces created throughout the campus accent views while emphasizing
issues of a modern school, such as expanded learning, access to technology,
socialization, durability and safety.
This four-phased project consists of additions and modernization of
six buildings on campus. The challenge of each phase is to provide students
and staff safe access between construction, portables and existing spaces
while continuing to modernize the existing buildings. The modernization
includes architectural, mechanical, electrical, telecommunications and
structural upgrades to all six buildings.
Construction materials include brick, steel framing, metal siding,
metal roofing, resilient flooring, painted gypsum wallboard and suspended
acoustical ceilings.
