Description
This project adds an additional eastbound and westbound mainline freeway
lane and auxiliary lane on Interstate 90 between Broadway Avenue interchange
and Argonne Road interchange in Spokane, expanding the highway to three
lanes in each direction plus an auxiliary lane in each direction. Features
include a new five-lane Park Road bridge over the freeway (which replaces
the former configuration where the freeway travels over Park Road) as
well as traffic noise reduction structures in some locations. Portland
cement concrete pavement will be used for the freeway lane and shoulder
surfacing to resist wear from heavy traffic volumes and studded tire
use. This particular stretch of Interstate 90 was constructed in the
mid 1950s. Address: Interstate 90, MP 286.35 to MP 288.01.
