After Hours: Wiffleball tourney coming to Fremont
Want to be Champion of the Universe? Then sign up your team for the Fremont Wiffleball Universe Series Aug. 26.
SEATTLE — The Fremont Wiffleball Universe Series is set for Saturday Aug. 26 at the playfield north of B.F. Day Elementary School, at Linden Avenue North and North 41st Street.
Organizers say there are some rules but this is a fun tournament, with three fields of play, a home-run derby, stadium announcers, music and a trophy. There's a limit of 21 teams. Register at https://fremont.com/wiffleball. Teams must register by Aug. 18, or Aug. 15 to be guaranteed each player receives a T-shirt.
Fremont Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the event and proceeds go to the Fremont Chamber Community Grants Fund. Other sponsorship opportunities are available. Contact Frank Costa at fcosta@adobe.com.
