Architects call on Big Ass Fan Co. to save energy in local buildings
The Kentucky-based company redesigns fan motors and blades for optimum energy usage. Twenty-four of the tweaked fans can be found inside Bullitt Center.

Like yesterday's bell bottoms, low-tech building features are cool again. As building owners search for every possible way to control rising energy costs, even those thought to be outdated and lackluster are making a comeback.
