He is experienced in designing and preparing plans, specifications, cost estimates, and bid documents. He is currently working as the project manager on the realignment of state Highway 106 in conjunction with the redevelopment of Alderbrook Lodge near Shelton.
Jeff Johansen and Todd Bergsma, project managers at Cochran, have completed the American Society for Healthcare Engineering Healthcare Contractor's Certificate Program. The program is designed specifically to meet the unique needs of the health care contractor.
PSI added Steve Schmidt to its Seattle office as project manager in the construction services department. Schmidt brings 20 years of regional experience in construction inspection and materials testing in the public and private construction industry.
PSI is headquartered in Oakbrook Terrace, Ill., and has offices throughout the United States. Pacific Northwest offices include Seattle, Tacoma and Portland.

Karl Lundberg joined the firm as a transportation project engineer. Lundberg is working on designing improvements to SR 516 at Wax Road for the city of Covington, and traffic signal and illumination designs for Pacific Highway South (SR 99) in Kent. Randy Frantz has joined as a transportation project designer. His current projects include the 2004 City of Bellevue Overlay Program, SR 2/Sultan-Basin Road Improvements, and 220th Street SW Reconstruction project in Mountlake Terrace.

Sparling recently expanded its technology consulting practice with Nathan Larmore as network/IT consultant and Hollis Heron as project manager.
Larmore has six years experience in IT, specializing in network engineering and design. He has experience in systems administration, project management and technical analysis. His design work includes LAN/WAN design, network planning and implementation, campus-wide roll-outs, network migrations, disaster recovery solutions, network operating center planning and construction administration, multi-site WAN implementations and network security solutions.
A Sparling associate and project manager, Heron has contributed technology consulting to multiple Sparling projects including Washington Mutual’s Cedarbrook leadership development center and Seattle City Hall. Heron will move from manager of electrical design to technology consulting over the course of the year. Heron was recently LEED certified.
Sparling also recently added Richard Leung, as senior project manager for design of health care facilities. Leung provided electrical engineering services in Hawaii for 25 years and Seattle for three years. His extensive experience in health care project management includes the Guam Memorial Hospital and major medical facilities in Hawaii. Leung's current Sparling projects are renovations at Harborview and a medical office building for Highline Hospital.
Tonya Watkins has joined Berger/ABAM’s Federal Way headquarters as a marketing coordinator. Watkins has 20 years of business development experience in the architectural and engineering industry. Her background includes proposal and qualification coordination and preparation, event planning, and desktop publishing. She has also authored and edited several articles for publication.
Shawn Ellis recently joined the Portland office as a civil engineer. Ellis has 10 years of civil engineering experience, including water supply and distribution; water treatment; sanitary sewer management and conveyance; stormwater treatment, detention, and conveyance; street and road design; and site grading.
Integrus Architecture announced the addition of senior structural engineer Thomas M. Corcoran to the Seattle office. Corcoran is a licensed civil/structural engineer in 12 states including California, Oregon and Washington, and has 20 years experience in new structural design, seismic analysis and upgrades, supervising engineers, managing projects and quality control in a variety of project types. His responsibilities include leading the Seattle office’s structural engineering, quality control, building investigation and new design.
