GeoEngineers hired
Kim Levesque as a fisheries biologist in the Everett office. Levesque comes to GeoEngineers after 10 years with the Snohomish Conservation District . Her experience includes habitat restoration, water quality improvements and water treatment projects. Levesque led 20 Department of Ecology clean water fund grants at SCD and completed a number of fish habitat restoration projects.
ZDS Architects of Seattle hired
Ashley Marie Richardson as a project architect. Her recent work includes the Palm Springs Ranch, an eco-friendly home in California targeting silver certification in LEED for homes, and the Washington Wellness Institute, a medical office in Washington, D.C., targeting LEED silver.
Tetra Tech hired
Marcos Lopez as vice president of business development in the Northwest. A registered engineer with 27 years of experience, Lopez worked with King County and Tetra Tech for seven years while leading the county's Regional Infiltration and Inflow Control Program. His technical experience includes civil site planning; road and street design; grading, water, sewer and storm drain design; hydrology studies and hydraulic design; cost estimating; and project feasibility studies.
Sparling hired
Jim Kinnier as principal of technology consulting in the Portland office. Kinnier has more than 22 years of project management and consulting experience, with expertise in telecommunications infrastructure, operations/data centers, telephone systems, VoIP technologies, wireless and LAN/WAN systems. He previously worked at Northwest Information Services and Sage Software, both in Beaverton, Ore.
Ankrom Moisan Associated Architects named
Dave Heater to its board of directors. Heater was promoted to principal in 2004 and established the Portland-based firm's Seattle office in 2006. Under Heater's leadership, the Seattle office has grown from two people to 27. The firm also promoted
Kevin Sauser to managing principal and
Murray Jenkins and
Marty Buckenmeyer to principals. Sauser has been with the firm full-time since 1997, after interning there in 1993. He specializes in theaters, high-rises and senior housing. Jenkins joined the firm in 2000. His focus has been on housing, mixed-use, retail, and resorts. He is working on projects throughout the western United States. Buckenmeyer joined the firm in 2003. He was the project manager for Elleven, a high rise in Los Angeles. His focus is on large, mixed-use projects, including housing, commercial office, and retail.

Brown and Caldwell hired five new employees, four in its Seattle office. Don Fiene was hired as supervising potable water engineer. He has more than 20 years of experience in water system planning, surface water management, stormwater design, general utility planning and long term budgeting. Alan Lord joined the wastewater group as a senior engineer. He has more than 10 years of experience in wastewater system planning and design. Damon Diessner, hired as environmental engineer, has more than 35 years of experience in surfacewater management and urban natural resource protection. James Moffat joined the CADD team as a supervising designer and Kate Burlingame joined the wastewater group in the Olympia office.
The landscape architecture firm Hough Beck & Baird made several promotions and hires. The new hires are J.D. Fore, Jocelyn Freilinger, Drew Meyers and Hillary Schlehuber. Fore is working on improvements to the civic campus in Olympia. Freilinger is working on low impact solutions on projects including Fire Station No. 38 in Seattle. Meyers is working on park and recreation projects, including grant applications for King County. Schlehuber was hired as marketing specialist. Aaron Luoma was also promoted to associate. In his three years with HBB, his work has included Log Boom Park in Kenmore and the rental car facility for Sea-Tac International Airport.
Parametrix hired Jan Rosholt as a senior consultant, specializing in water treatment, environmental design and construction management. Rosholt is leading Puget Sound infrastructure projects and working to expand Parametrix’s water solutions practice, including further developing the Colorado, Oregon and Washington client base. Previously, Rosholt worked for Garry Struthers Associates.
Schacht Aslani Architects hired architect Carl Dominguez. Dominguez has more than 10 years of experience and specializes in public facility projects in the Puget Sound area. He is working on projects for North Seattle Community College, including the new Integrated Resource Center.
WestSound Engineering said Alan L. Burdick passed the professional engineering exam and is now a registered civil engineer. WestSound Engineering now has four licensed engineers on staff
