Sparling hired
David Rosenberger as electrical engineering project manager and sustainable design expert in its San Diego office. Rosenberger has more than 29 years of experience in health care, higher education, research and commercial markets with expertise in power distribution and generation, cogeneration, utility interconnect, lighting, fire and life safety, and emergency power design. Rosenberger has been actively involved in the US Green Building Council since 2000 and was one of the original founders of the San Diego chapter. Prior to joining Sparling, he was managing principal and senior project manager for LSW Engineers in San Diego.
Rice Fergus Miller, a 40-person architecture, interior design and planning firm headquartered in Bremerton with an office in Minneapolis, promoted six staff members.
Andy Kosusko has been named a principal. Kosusko specializes in senior living design and is leading the design of the firm's largest project, Timber Ridge at Talus, a $150 million continuing care retirement community in Issaquah.
Bob Guyt, Ed McManamna and
Jeremy Southerland were named senior associates. Guyt, a licensed architect with 20 years of experience, is a project manager for health care and hospitality projects, and coordinates the firm's intern development program. McManamna is the firm's project manager for fire and emergency services projects throughout Western Washington. Southerland specializes in health care design and is the creator of the firm's visualization lab, a multimedia department producing graphic design, animation, web design and film.
Jamie Osterman and
Craig Caligiuri are new associates. Osterman, an interior designer with the firm since 2000, leads many of RFM's community support initiatives and is a board member at United Way. Caligiuri manages the firm's recently-opened Minneapolis office and leads the firm's Building Information Modeling technology efforts.
Stuart Silk Architects promoted
John Adams to associate principal. Adams heads up Stuart Silk Architects | the commercial studio. An experienced commercial designer with both New York and Seattle architecture firms, Adams joined Stuart Silk Architects two years ago to open the new studio. It now has a staff of four and several commercial projects in the works including three Salmon Bay Center commercial buildings, the Golf Club at Coastal Point, West Seattle Dental, and new offices for Seattle Magazine and Tiger Oak Publications. Adams is also supervising several projects in Shanghai.

Anthony Katsaros was promoted to associate and natural resources director,
Linda Naoi Goetz was promoted to natural resources deputy director,
Julie Bohm was promoted to marketing director,
Tena Seeds was promoted to senior project engineer,
Benni Jonsson was promoted to project engineer,
Anthony Farinacci to senior staff hydrogeologist,
Jessica Hayden-Spear to senior staff scientist and
Brian Christianson to field services manager. In Tacoma,
Jennifer Wynkoop was promoted to senior scientist and
Jessica Stone to senior staff scientist.
Parametrix promoted
Jeff Peacock to president and chief executive officer. The firm's previous CEO, Gerry Jones, will continue as a member of the board of directors. Peacock will focus on client satisfaction, achieving the company's growth goals and further developing the company's employee ownership culture. Peacock joined Parametrix in 1989 as a design engineer. He served as a division manager in the company's Bremerton office, and advanced to managing the firm's transportation practice. He was promoted to executive vice president in 2000, where he was responsible for the company's strategic planning and business development efforts. His project management career includes an overall capital project value of more than $5 billion.
Core Design, a full-service land development firm, hired
Steve Styskal as project engineer. Styskal will work on several ongoing residential and commercial projects, and will be leading the design team for upcoming projects. Styskal comes to Core from WHPacific.
Säzän Group, a Seattle mechanical and electrical engineering firm, hired
Paul David Sanborn as senior mechanical designer. Sanborn has 30 years of mechanical engineering experience. He is working on projects for the Seattle School District, the Seattle VAMC, and a mixed-use project in Bellevue.
Farallon Consulting hired Daniel Caputo as project chemist. Caputo will manage projects involving site characterization, soil and groundwater monitoring and sampling, and contaminant remediation at sites across the Pacific Northwest. Caputo has three years of experience in the environmental field service industry, including field investigation, implementation of environmental programs, data analysis and technical report preparation.
