Jean Cutter as an engineer in the municipal group in the firm's Kirkland office. She has 14 years of experience in civil and environmental engineering design, with expertise in water and wastewater.

Chris Willcox as a project manager and
MinYuan Cheng as a design engineer. Willcox has more than 13 years of structural engineering experience and is currently working on several design-build projects. Cheng is working on the Abu Dhabi National Oil Co.'s headquarters in the UAE.

Brian Bishop is a landscape designer and has worked on parks including Burien Town Square open space, and Tacoma's McKinley Park and Norpoint Park. His expertise includes trail and linear park design, streetscape design, green infrastructure, and park and campus master planning.

Daniel George in its Seattle office as senior designer/project manager. George has more than 25 years of experience in corporate, financial and retail design. Most recently, he was with Ankrom Moisan Associated Architects in Seattle, where he worked on developing retail architecture and corporate interiors. Prior to that, he was regional store planner for Washington Mutual and design project manager for Starbucks Coffee.

KPFF Consulting Engineers in Tacoma hired
Bryan Elkins and
Conner Swarthout. Elkins, a professional civil engineer, previously worked in construction management at King County and as a design engineer at KPFF's Seattle office. With nine years of experience, Elkins has performed site and road design for clients and jurisdictions throughout the state. He has construction management experience in a range of projects, from parking structures to transit centers in King County. Swarthout is a recent grad and was hired as a structural design engineer.
Shannon & Wilson hired
Rich Reis as a vice president in the Seattle office. Reis will focus on business development for environmental services. Most recently, Reis served as the regional operations manager for WHPacific in the Northwest. Prior to WHPacific, Reis spent 15 years managing environmental engineering and construction projects in the Northwest for public and private sector clients.
Sparling hired
Robert Pritchard as principal and technology practice leader. Pritchard will focus on developing Sparling's technology practice, in collaboration with studio principals, and will be part of Sparling's executive committee. Pritchard relocated from Texas and has 25 years of experience in leadership and management of large technology-focused companies. He has worked on mobile radio, microwave, satellite, telephony, data communications, fiber optics and telecom infrastructure.
ORB Architects of Renton hired
Nhi Nguyen and
Kham Beitlers as intern architects. Nguyen will be starting her intern development program, and her focus will be on four community center upgrades for Metro Parks. Beitlers has three years of experience in a range of project types. While her initial focus will be on military projects, her past work on community centers will be beneficial for future parks and recreation projects. Beitlers will complete her intern development program credits this month.
BLRB Architects of Tacoma hired
Benjamin Fields and
Andrea Hansen. Fields joins BLRB as an intern architect. He is working on Pacific Plaza, a LEED platinum building in Tacoma. Hansen is a returning BLRB architect. She has 15 years of architectural experience. She is working on Beacon Primary School and will be project architect for Ocosta School District's Ocosta Elementary School.
Callison promoted 10 staff members in Seattle to associate principals, identifying them as having demonstrated an ability to practice at the highest standards of the industry.
