Floyd|Snider promoted Tom Colligan, Allison Geiselbrecht and Matt Woltman to associate principals. Colligan, Geiselbrecht and Woltman fill senior hydrogeology, marine science and civil engineering positions with the firm. Floyd|Snider provides strategy, science and engineering services for property cleanup and redevelopment, sediment cleanup, aquatic restoration and stormwater management.

The Seattle office of Gensler promoted Philip Rothey and Heidi Sadler to associates. Rothey, who joined the firm in 2002, has worked on large-scale projects across the globe, in both architecture and interiors. His past projects include the Dubai International Financial Center Gate Building, Nanchang Century City in Nanchang, China, and the lobby renovation of Seattle’s Century Square. Sadler is a certified interior designer with more than 17 years of experience in corporate interiors. Since joining Gensler in 2004, she has worked with clients including Marsh & McLennan Companies, Edelman and Nokia, and on projects for the city of Renton and Washington State Office of the Attorney General.

Freeman Fong Architecture added two new staff members to its design team. Kevin Kobayashi joined the firm as a project architect. He is the project manager on the State Department of Corrections Mission Creek 100-bed expansion, and four other upgrade projects on the site. Michael Jan is the firm’s new office manager. He has experience in accounting, marketing, event planning and translation services (Chinese to English).

Kennedy/Jenks Consultants named David C. Brown the new marine ports market sector leader. Brown is in the firm’s new office in Vancouver, but also frequently works in the Portland office. He has experience in management and design of a civil engineering projects and in a number of multi-million dollar seaport projects in Washington and Oregon. Since joining Kennedy/Jenks last year, Brown has led the ports sector in the Pacific Northwest. In his new role, he will work with port project managers firm-wide and broaden the scope of services to ports.

Rushing hired Corey Stoerker and Vickie Yaros. New with Blackbird Studio, Rushing’s sustainability consulting group, Stoerker has more than 10 years experience in sustainable strategy development and architecture. Stoerker is providing LEED consulting services for King County’s Black River Building in Renton, and the Fifth & Yesler and 635 Elliott high-rises. Yaros is director of business operations, and has more than 20 years of architecture/engineering industry experience in finance, human resources and organizational development.

MacKay & Sposito

MacKay & Sposito said Tim Schauer was promoted from senior vice president to president. He is the firm’s fourth president, after Donald MacKay, Richard Sposito and Al Schauer. He is a registered professional engineer and has been with the firm for more than 18 years, specializing in designing and planning communities. He is regionally recognized for his master planning expertise and is often called upon to offer input on new code and policies. Al Schauer will remain chief executive officer.

Perkins+Will

Architect Doug Streeter has joined Perkins+Will as design principal for the Seattle office. Streeter has more than 25 years of leadership experience in creative international design. His architectural and urban design practice has been based primarily in London and Hong Kong, where he has served as design director for two internationally known London and New York practices. His expertise in urban design and transportation is focused on large-scale, mixed-use projects that create new urban centers, in cities like Moscow, Hong Kong and Dublin. Streeter’s experience includes college campuses, health care centers and residential neighborhoods in London and New York City.

Transportation Solutions promoted Steve Nolen to associate principal. Nolen joined the firm in early 2008 as a senior project manager. He has experience in government policy, regulation and permitting, with 13 years working in senior government positions in the Puget Sound region, including as Mill Creek city manager, King County director of strategic planners and as senior policy advisor to the King County Executive.

PCS Structural Solutions has named five new associates. In the Seattle office, Jason Collins, Bob Copeland and Steve Farvour were promoted, and in the Tacoma office Eric Bailey and Wes Neeley were promoted. Collins has been with the firm for six years and is working on Rainier Storage Lofts in Seattle and the Seattle University Connolly Hall Fitness Center expansion. Copeland has more than eight years of experience and is working on Emerald Queen Casino in Fife, and the Green Hill School Health Center and IMU buildings in Chehalis. Farvour has 13 years of experience and is working on the UW Denny Hall renovation and Jefferson Elementary School in Everett. Bailey has been with the firm for 12 years and is working on the UW Tacoma Phase 3 Joy Building and Pierce College Puyallup Communication Arts & Allied Health. Neeley has been with the firm for eight years and is working on Hamilton Middle School in Seattle and the Puyallup High School East Campus. The firm also hired former employee Debbie Shaffer as office manager. Shaffer will supervise administration functions in both the Seattle and Tacoma offices. Sarah Middleton was also been promoted to marketing/IT manager, overseeing activities in both offices.

WHPacific

Paananen
WHPacific announced hired three people and made a promotion in its Bothell office. Terrence Paananen and David Field joined the transportation group. Paananen is a senior project manager with more than 30 years of experience, including 27 with WSDOT. Field brings more than 40 years of aviation development experience, and serves as senior aviation consultant. A former FAA employee, he is also on the Washington State Aviation Planning Council. Also in the transportation group, Darren Murata was promoted to project manager. He has nine years of experience developing municipal transportation projects and will also serve as design manager for the transportation group. Jack Schwaegler was also hired as director of land development. Schwaegler's background includes 23 years in both consulting engineering and private development.

Integrus Architecture

Van Galen
Integrus Architecture promoted David Van Galen to principal. Van Galen began his career at Integrus in 2007. Since joining the firm, he has been leading design efforts for large and challenging projects. Recent projects include renovation of the Union Trust Annex building near Pioneer Square for Integrus' Seattle office, Ingraham High School and the Washington State University Intercollegiate College of Nursing in Spokane.
