According to a recent survey by the American Pet Products Manufacturers Association, approximately 20 percent of all owned cats in the United States were adopted from an animal shelter.
So it was perfectly understandable that Noah Lieberman's parents would take him to an animal shelter to look for a new pet cat. But instead of happy memories, the five-year-old boy endured a nightmarish experience.
