Seattle digital media company Loudeye Corp. promoted Charles Grimsdale to global chief strategy officer, Ed Averdieck to general manager of European operations and Tiff Pike to chief operating officer of European operations. Grimsdale was chief executive officer of On Demand Distribution, which Loudeye acquired last year. Averdieck was European sales and marketing director of Castle Music. Pike was a finance director at Internet portal Net4Most.
Bothell's Lumera Corp., a nanotechnology solutions company, named Jim Richey senior advisor for business development and Charles T. Campbell to its scientific advisory board. Richey has 25 years of experience in sales and marketing in the U.S., Europe and Japan. Campbell holds an endowed professorship of chemistry at the University of Washington.
Seattle Mayor's Office for Senior Citizens is sponsoring a workshop for people ages 55 and older who are looking for work. The "Seattle Age 55+ Job Club" workshop takes place Feb. 22 at the Alaska Building, 618 Second Ave., Elliott Bay Room, 15th Floor, from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Participants can learn about job searching and referrals, and take free computer classes.
Pierce County announced Chambers Bay is the official name of the championship golf course to be constructed at the 930-acre Chambers Creek property, a former gravel mine. The course is set to open in 2007. Northbrook, Ill.-based KemperSports Management will be the development consultant and operate the course. Other team members are golf course architect Robert Trent Jones II of Palo Alto, Calif., site planner Berger ABAM of Federal Way and clubhouse architect Miller/Hull Partnership in association with CHA of Seattle.

Former Seattle Mayor Norman B. Rice will retire as president and chief executive officer of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Seattle on March 15. David Bley, executive vice president and director of products and services, will be in charge until an interim chief executive officer is named. Rice was president and CEO for six years. The Federal Home Loan Bank provides funding and other financial services that allow 370 financial institution members to make housing and business loans at competitive rates.
Sterling Savings Bank hired Dan Bogart as business banker for south King County. Bogart has 17 years of financial experience, including work as vice president of sales at GE Commercial Distribution Finance.
The Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants awarded Howard S. Sibelman its president's award. Sibelman is director of audit services at the Seattle-based firm Bader Martin Ross & Smith. He has been in public practice for 35 years.
Lori Riordan was appointed Bellevue's city attorney. Riordan is part of the city's civil litigation team and has been with the city for 17 years.
Seattle Repertory Theatre appointed David Esbjornson artistic director. Esbjornson has worked throughout the country in regional theatres and on Broadway. He was artistic director of New York's Classic Stage Co. and replaces Sharon Ott in Seattle.
