Mingzhu Yin joined the Seattle office of Stoel Rives as an associate in the corporate practice group. Yin works on mergers and acquisitions, public financing of municipal bonds and bankruptcy proceedings. Stoel Rives has 385 lawyers in Washington, Oregon, California, Utah and Idaho.
Economist Brett Sheckler joined Seattle public policy and management consultants Berk & Associates. His recent projects include an economic impact analysis for NASCAR, an industrial land study for North Bay and city center projects for Tukwila, Federal Way and Snoqualmie.
Digital marketing services and technology company aQuantive named Linda J. Srere and Jaynie M. Studenmund to its board of directors. Director Peter M. Neupert was reelected.
Srere was the first female CEO of Young & Rubicam Advertising, and worked in the company's New York office. Studenmund was chief operating officer of Overture Services, a subsidiary of Yahoo, where she helped expand into 12 international markets.
Seattle-based technology company F5 Networks formed a new security business unit for marketing, research and development. Jeff Pancottine will lead as general manager. Dan Matte was promoted to senior vice president of marketing.
F5 acquired MagniFire WebSystems, a company that works on firewalls for the Web. F5 will continue to operate MagniFire's development facility in Tel Aviv.

Wells Fargo named six vice presidents to serve Seattle and Eastside clients. Marilyn Ames, Ellen Bakke and Susan Chandler will be based in Seattle branches. Jennifer Graff will work in Redmond and both Liz Katz and Dave Leischner will be based in Bellevue. Wells Fargo & Co. is a $391 billion diversified financial services company.
King County District Court Judge Corinna Harn was elected chief presiding judge and will oversee management, operations and personnel in seven courthouses. Harn will be assisted by King County District Court Judge Barbara Linde.
Seattle Foundation awarded The 5th Avenue Theatre a $600,000 challenge grant to encourage new donors to give. The foundation has more than 1,100 family and individual funds, and assets of more than $350 million.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce recently hired Renee Radcliff Sinclair as executive director for the Northwest regional office in Seattle. She was a journalist and served four terms in the Washington State House of Representatives.
Jeremy Schneyer and Mark Craig recently opened Patina at 3519 Fremont Place N. in Seattle. The store will have vintage modern furniture such as Charles Eames, Hans Wegner and Heywood Wakefield.
Everett-based EverTrust Financial Group's board of directors appointed Malcolm R. Harding senior vice president of EverTrust Bank. Harding will develop and manage a strategy for the bank's private client group. Harding was vice president of Pacific Northwest Bank for 37 years.
Longview Fibre Co. promoted Robert F. Roth to manager of Washington timberlands and Blake S. Rowe to manager of Oregon timberlands. Both will be based in the company's timber headquarters in Longview. Roth has 28 years of forestry experience and Rowe worked on regulations and land exchanges.
