Pagliacci

Pagliacci opened a new restaurant at 20059 Ballinger Way N.E. in Shoreline. Mike Niznik is the general manager of the Ballinger Delivery Kitchen. Other Pagliacci Delivery Kitchens are scheduled to open in the next year in Kenmore and Edmonds.

Building Operator Certification

Building Operator Certification, a professional development program for facility operations and maintenance staff, awarded operating engineer Ray Wiley of Pemco Financial Services in Seattle a level two certificate. Wiley took training courses on building systems maintenance and on-the-job project assignments.

KCTS Television

Jan Knutson, a fundraiser with experience in gifts and endowments, joined KCTS Television as a gifts manager. Knutson will work with the Corporation for Public Broadcasting to identify and solicit gifts in western Washington and British Columbia. She will develop fundraising strategies, coordinate volunteers and plan events. Knutson spent 23 years with United Way of King County.

Bellevue Art Museum

The Bellevue Art Museum board of trustees selected Michael W. Monroe as the museum's new executive director and chief curator. Monroe was an associate curator for the Renwick, the Smithsonian's museum of contemporary American craft and design in Washington D.C. He has also been a lecturer and juror for international competitions. The museum will reopen in October.

University of Washington Business School

The University of Washington Business School appointed professor Tom Lee associate dean for academic and faculty affairs. Lee has been on the faculty for more than 20 years and is a professor of human resource management and organizational behavior. He holds a master's degree from Bowling Green State University and a doctoral degree from the University of Oregon.

Western Washington University

Carol D. Edwards, who was assistant dean of the School of the Arts at Kennesaw State University, was named the new dean of the College of Fine and Performing Arts at Western Washington University. Edwards succeeds Linda Smeins, acting dean since 2002. Smeins, a professor of art, will return to teaching.

College Club of Seattle

Seattle's Pocock Rowing Center and The College Club of Seattle, announced an alliance to share waterfront and downtown Seattle facilities. Rowers who are members of any College Club of Seattle's global network of clubs will have access to Seattle's $1.6 million Pocock Rowing Center at 3320 Fuhrman Ave. E. The College Club of Seattle is a private social club.

Westaff

Westaff appointed Stephen J. Russo senior vice president of its western zone. Russo, who returns to Westaff after nine years at Staffing Resources in Dallas and Nelson Staffing in Sonoma, Calif., will oversee operations in California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Northern Nevada and Utah. Walnut Creek, Calif.-headquartered Westaff places staff in administrative, light industrial and light technical work.

Eddie Bauer

Seattle-based Eddie Bauer, a casual clothing brand, named Kathy Boyer a senior vice president of merchandising. Boyer will oversee design, sourcing and production, and retail and direct merchandising. Boyer was executive vice president at J.Crew Group.

Davis Wright Tremaine

The Washington D.C. office of Davis Wright Tremaine, a national law firm with more than 400 lawyers, added three to its employment-related services group: Weldon H. Latham, John M. Bryson II and Michael R. Hatcher. All were partners with Holland & Knight. The staff additions will provide a dedicated corporate diversity counseling practice. The new staff has assisted companies on compliance issues, diversity and litigation, for clients have including General Motors, Boeing and Eastman Kodak.
