Lynnwood-based Pacific Crest Savings Bank has opened a home loan center in Mount Vernon at 1615 Buck Way. Pete Edgecomb will oversee three loan officers and two support staff. Edgecomb worked for Pacific Crest when its name was Phoenix Savings Bank. He opened a CTX Mortgage office in Mount Vernon.
The Tulalip-based nonprofit Equine Rescue Association is calling for volunteers and financial contributions. The group takes care of elderly and abused horses, and runs program that teach people to care for and ride horses. Volunteers are needed to help with chores, bookkeeping and fundraising. Tacoma's Russell Investment Group appointed David Rothenberg director of business growth and development. Rothenberg will provide strategic direction and work on helping clients get better net investment returns. He was U.S. head of Nomura Securities International. The Greater Seattle Chamber of Commerce named Beth Wojick executive vice president. She has been president and chief executive officer of Seafair for eight years, and will lead the summer festival while Seafair searches for her successor.
At the chamber of commerce, she'll supervise event management professionals, lead marketing and work on business development. The group has 2,500 member businesses and organizations.
Seattle-based Waterways Cruises has expanded its operations to include a 6,000 square-foot shoreside venue at the north end of Lake Union between Gas Works Park and Ivar's Salmon House. Sacramento, Calif.-based Bustos Media recently acquired the Seattle-area radio station KAYO. The $20 million acquisition was made from Puget Sound Broadcasting. Kalil and Co. brokered the deal for the seller.
Bustos Media is a Spanish-language radio consolidator that has acquired 22 radio stations within 19 months in Modesto/Stockton, Sacramento, Portland, Seattle, Yakima, Tri-Cities, Boise and Salt Lake City.
