Hadley Green Creates, a Seattle-based marketing agency, hired Kevin Dillon, Cherie Martin and Greg Sneden. Dillon is director of engagement and was associate partner at Ascentium in Seattle. Martin is interactive project manager and was senior project manager at Classmates Online. Sneden is a strategist and will advise clients on media opportunities and marketing. He worked at Qwest, Getty Images and Photoworks.com.
Garvey Schubert Barer hired Stephen Rose in its Seattle office as an owner in the Healthcare Law Practice. Rose was a partner with K&L Gates, and has 25 years of experience representing hospitals.
Bothell-based SonoSite, an ultrasound company, promoted James Branman to vice president of U.S. sales. Branman is also serving on the executive committee. He has held sales management positions at SonoSite since 2001.
The University of Idaho and Washington State University have merged their food science departments to create a new school, the School of Food Science at the University of Idaho and Washington State University. The school's combined faculty will be about 25; it will have an enrollment of about 75 undergraduate and 35 graduate students, who will take required food science courses at each institution. The two universities are searching for a new director for the school who will work for both.

Tim Jennings of Roseneath Theatre in Toronto is the new managing director at Seattle Children's Theatre. Jennings accepted the position in April, but his appointment was delayed until August to give him time to secure a work visa. Jennings has worked continuously in theater production and management for 20 years and has been at Roseneath for eight years.
Seattle-based Marchex, a search and advertising company, hired Sloan Seymour as vice president of Marchex Adhere, Ed O'Keefe as vice president of performance marketplaces, Brooks McMahon as vice president of partner development, and promoted Leigh McMillan to senior vice president, marketing and communications.
Everett-based Fluke Networks, a provider of testing, monitoring and analysis of enterprise and telecommunications networks, hired Wayne Bergland as U.S. vice president of sales for its Performance Management Group. Bergland has 20 years of experience in the technology sector.

Law firm Stoel Rives hired Aiyana Thompson as associate in the Seattle office's Corporate Practice Group. Thompson practices in the areas of corporate governance, corporate finance, and mergers and acquisitions. She was an associate at K&L Gates.
Shoreline Bank hired Dale R. Anderson as executive vice president and chief lending officer. Anderson has 30 years of experience in corporate and small business banking.
Seattle City Light hired Andrew Gallo as regulatory compliance officer. Gallo has experience in public utility regulatory matters and compliance standards at the state and federal level. He was assistant general counsel to the Electric Reliability Council of Texas.
Sleeping Lady Mountain Retreat hired Kenneth MacDonald as executive chef. MacDonald is also responsible for Kingfisher Dining Lodge, O'Grady's Pantry and The Grotto. He has held culinary positions in Australia, Bangladesh, South Africa and India.
